CrossCycle

CrossCycle is there to improve the journey of the cyclist. When approaching an intersection with a connected traffic light controller, the GPS location is continuously sent to the traffic lights. Depending on the program running in the controller, the bicycle might get earlier or longer green. In some cases the program may even give CrossCycle carriers priority over other approaching traffic.

The awarding of the priority depends on the configuration of the traffic light application and the policy choices of the road authority in the specific region (city or province). There is never a guarantee that you will get a green traffic light, since a traffic controller is bound to handle the other traffic also, which sets limits to the amount of priority for each direction of traffic and for each type of traffic.

The app does not require any interaction from the owner while driving. After installation it starts to work. If you are not close to the intersection, the GPS localization process is slowed down in order to save your battery life. Keep your smartphone in a safe place where the reception of the GPS signal is as best as possible.

As a road user and user of the CrossCycle app you remain at all times fully responsible for the adherence to all applicable traffic rules, the self-assessment of the traffic situation, the observation of the formal physical traffic signs, signalling devices, traffic lights or other indicators. Dynniq Netherlands B.V. will assume no responsibility for any damage arising from the use of the CrossCycle app.

Dynniq Netherlands B.V. cannot guarantee that the information provided by the CrossCycle app will be uninterrupted or error-free. In extreme cases this CrossCycle app can show other information than the physical traffic signals on the road, including but not limited to dynamic signs, traffic lights or audibles. The erratic nature of the general traffic plays a role.

Therefore, the actual traffic signs and rules are always leading and not the information on the CrossCycle app.
