Smartwatch Activation allows you to finally go completely hands free using your SmartPhone and SmartWatch. With SmartWatch Activation you can activate the voice commands on your phone or launch an app simply by raising your hand. This functionality is also integrated with a great motion activated watch that only shows when the watch is face up. Here is how it works.
1. Launch the app on your Smartwatch
2. Move the watch in to the face up position. You will see the current time and a red dot indicating the watch is not waiting for commands.
3. Turn your wrist 3 to 4 times to activate the listening feature. You will feel the watch vibrate and see a green dot indicating the watch is ready.
4. Now simply raise your hand and your phones voice activation or selected app will come on.
5. To deactivate listening just turn your wrist 3 to 4 times again. The watch will vibrate and you will see a red dot. Now you can just enjoy having a watch app that stays on, but won't overrun your battery. We were getting 6 to 7 hours of battery life on our test devices leaving the app running!!

Great app when it works. I have the Sony smart watch one and it worked great the first time I used it but after that it doesn't work. The circle just turns green when I touch the screen on the smart watch. I have a nexus five I would love to use this app if I could get it to work again.

While attempting to use it, I found that it usually doesn't unlock the device (Nexus 5) when it tries to record. Also, the twisting action was really hit and miss to activate the service. I hope to see it improved or even a more simple option to just have a button that can be pressed on the watch to activate the voice search/command app on the device.

Perhaps I am using it wrong but when I launch it after a few secs the screen goes blank but turns on when upright. But if the watch goes to the Sony Watchface then nothing happens

This app has potential, but I don't feel like it's quite ready yet. First, the icon isn't a good choice at all, and I'm assuming it's a place holder while something is created. Second, Why do I have to shake my wrist and then raise my hand? As far as I can tell listening does nothing except tell me that I can now raise my hand? Wouldn't it be more efficient just to have the wrist shake open the voice search app? Finally , personally I'd rather have a button than a clock, which would save battery life. For me, there is no way it's going to be my default watch app with 6 hours of battery life, so why not remove that feature all together in favor of a big smooth voice activation button that can be activated by either tapping or shaking?

I can't get this to work. I can get the watch display to show up but then can't get anything to activate by the wrist flips. Also the app list doesn't show. I'm using the Sony SmartWatch 2 and the HTC One. It's a Shame, cos this would be a really good idea if it worked.
