Pigeon is based on the open source K-9.
Has the exact same issues as K-9.
After paying for the Pro version of this app, the last few versions of this app have some super annoying bugs. Sending outbound messages crams all the paragraphs into a single, one line email.. Pigeon is not handling newline encoding properly.. Additionally, when selecting multiple messages, clicking on a message itself will actually toggle the message above it.. You can use the check boxes works, but the tap targets are very small..
Used to be good, falling well behind freezes up a lot and now I can't multi select for some reason. Emails written don't seem to carry my line breaks so they come through as one big paragraph. Looking for new client now.
Have tried everything possible when it comes to syncing with my work email, including copying the settings over directly from Outlook, and nothing. Unable to sync and just sits there spinning saying "refreshing". Have closed the app, reopened it - nothing. Also get "Error during Authentication" - but my native email app says it's perfectly fine and is syncing without issue.
Not good.... You manually have to configure Gmail, seriously? Come one... Exchange 2003 does not support push while Native client does... Settings are segregated so you confuse on global settings and account settings... Don't know but I could configure my accounts to work properly. When I wanted a refund simply the option disappear minutes after purchase... Testing the twitter cliente now let's see.
This is a K9 Mail clone. Just download K9 Mail from playstore instead. K9 has no ads and you are supporting the K9 Mail community not these people.
You'll see how many
So many bugs.. REJECTED!
I generally don't like paying for email clients, but if I have to pay money for a stable client that'll allow my to see headers for all my emails accross all addresses, than i guess it's better than maildriod which keeps dumping my email accounts, if that happens with the pro version of this client, this 3 star review will become a one star review and I'll pay trolls to also leave one star reveiws
Plz add automatic account setup
Whack
I like the app but i cannot live without receiving emails instantly. Can you add the idle/push feature for HOTMAIL accounts? Besides that top notch! Loving the look and features. 5 stars with push feature =)
Why does no Android email client have filter rules, or respect spam.flags? *sigh* Email is in the dark ages on Android and sadly this app is.no exception.
this is sad, i read it later that if you pay for the pro version you get the dark theme? come on guys, it's not much, at least this should be unlocked
I was unable to connect to my office 365 account
Works awesome, great UI
But please add an option to disable the transition animations. They are way too slow.
Would love to be able to enlarge text
Crash every time on account settings. Otherwise slick little app.
The app opens to a black screen then crashes. I've tried uninstalling... I've just paid for the paid version too and I feel jipped as it doesn't work at all now.
Another useless update. I have to use the send button to compose a reply. Why would you change what works ??? Please bring back the reply button . I also can't compose any emails. I get a estate the Pigeon has stopped. Fix it!
This is a good client but recent update has my reply button missing, with spam and archive button always showing. I can't seem to get reply button back so app is now useless to me.
The last update features a launcher icon that updates with unread count. This leads to a constant refresh of HTC Sense , often crashing it. There is no way to turn off this rather redundant feature, since traditional Android notifications provide the same information already.
Crashed twice on attempting first configuration for Exchange. Unstable.
It's ok but, have tried to email the publisher but had no response...how do I enable auto sync???
Loved this app for a long time, but with my Nexus 5 I cannot read the email. It simply opens up half the message and doesn't let me scroll. Upsetting... I think if you are using anything before KitKat, then it's still a great app...otherwise you'll need to find something else.
This is easily one of my favorite apps on my phone, but this issue with viewing messages is quite annoying. I hope another update that will work with my phone comes quickly!
Great email app.
This is the best mail client that I have seen in the Play Store. It has a clean user interface, that matches other Jelly Bean apps. It looks almost as nice as the native email app and it has many more features. (The application already implements "push" email, it is called IDLE. ) Recommended! Update: has some issue with kitkat.
I've noticed that since I started using KitKat, the tops of email messages are chopped off. I can't read the first few sentences because the headers cover the text. This is making the app pretty much useless for method now.

It's essentially K9 or Kaiten...
This is a great email client! It works just swell for connecting my Gmail accounts without even setting up POP and SMTP configs. Simply super!
Latest update is great... But, update the screenshots. What's with all the spam - use screenshots that show the contact pic being displayed (or, at the very least the new Google "letter" icons... The current screenshots do not do the app justice.
Very fast, but already paid for Kaiten which is essentially the same. Thanks
If K-9 Mail do the same and looks the same?
Conversations doesn't include sent emails

No updates in months, I guess the dev abandoned this app. Too bad, it WAS pretty good. The outgoing email messages become one long paragraph, making the message very hard to read and understand. ...and making me look like an uneducated moron. Thanks a lot. I didn't need any help. Doesn't matter if the "rich text" option is selected or not. As soon as the message is sent it becomes one long, unbroken paragraph. Been this way for a long time too. How about a fix?
