Duo Mobile for Android
Why it's saying "unable to authenticate because of request timed out" . I am using push mode. I reinstalled . Still issue. Working fine earlier
Junk app and without my phone it does not work. In a corporate setting, I am supposed to buy a smartphone because of this or make Duo rich by buying their junk SMS plan. Why not -5?
It's ok. dislike the Approve then confirm option. also would like to see a fingerprint scanner function.
I really liked this app, but now it's barely useable. A month ago I would of gave this app 5 stars, but not anymore. How am I suppose to push for my company to use/buy this when the app doesn't work for me? If I open the app to approve, I get a time out error every time. I am unable to approve through notifications as well now. It just sits there and then finally I get no network error. I have to waste my limited text message credits to authenticate.
I don't like that I have to tap 3 times to approve, confirm, then dismiss the notification.
I had to redownload the app, however I apparently need a new security code from my IT department. There isn't a way to restore your account. Since it's the weekend, I won't be able to work. I wouldn't use this app if it wasn't forced down by my company's IT department.
Really needs some work. I wouldn't use this if I wasn't forced to by the organization I'm a part of. Google Authenticator is much better.
This is a great app and the idea behind it is great. I like the two factor authentication. I am able to login to class and my blackboard while keeping others out. Thank you
Works well, even when I'm switching out phones. Appreciate the great work.
How do i disable notification vibration?
I dislike having to tap approve and THEN confirm. How many factors of MFA are you trying to achieve?!
Works good, sometimes push notifications don't come through and you have to open the app to approve.
Stopped providing quick approval drop down after latest pixel update. Please update.
Didn't want the app, forced by university to download.
Super easy to use. Push MFA is the easiest way
App sucks. Generates nothing but useless codes. Don't get this garbage.
Great app! Wish the UI was redone!
And, to add backed up accounts do not work... I repeat, it DOES NOT work.... So, Godforbid if you lose your auth device or just plain decide to get a new device.... Because if you do, then it's all gonna be a pointless waste of time.... It has been 2 weeks since I got a new device... Even the guys at IT have no friggin clue as to what probably caused a back up account to freeze and not sync with a new device....
An absolute waste of time application. Duo is so easy to bypass on Windows 10 as it only works when connected to the internet. Switch off your WiFi, log on as usual, switch on your WiFi. Even on wired connections just unplug them then plug them back in. I really don't get the point.
It can no longer open links with duo://. This is necessary when adding a new device (like switching from my iPhone to Android). It used to work before, but now errors out saying it can't open the link.
I hate 2 factor authentication. It takes too long and I was forced to delete another app so I could download this one. It is a waste of time. It's not really the app designers fault; it's much university's failure.
Why do I have to approve twice before authorization ? The first notification prompt says approve and then u r asked again to confirm. Please fix this. Look at how Microsoft authenticator and Google Auth handle these scenarios. Really annoying to click twice to approve.
Duo mobile works fine for Duo protected logins like what we use at work. I also use this on some personal servers. My only big complaints right now is having to push approve twice on notification and the lack of Android Wear support. My watch does lock if it doesn't detect a pulse in a short period so I see no reason there can't be a way to approve from watch or even pull up codes for 3rd party accounts.
@duo team. Please add a adaptive icon for android O (8.0) I am forced to use this app for work and it looks out of place on a Google Pixel with Android O. O targeting would be nice as well to fix the push. Not reliable with 8.0. please add icon and fix O targeting. Duo team please. Android O has been out for months. 8.1 doesn't work.
Works. Very inconvenient. Why do you have to click "send push" with each log in? Should send automatically
I usually need this service when I have no internet access which results in not being able to login to my school account. It creates a passcodes for situations with no internet but the passcodes it gives me on the app never work when input onto my computer making it impossible for me to log in. I guess it's a nice security measure but it also locks myself out of my account so for that this app/service is not very good and creates more of a hassle than anything. The services associated with my school were much smoother before the addition of the this login method.
After using it for a couple of months, I have to say it's a very solid two factor ID. Everytime I sign in, my phone tells me the location and UP, in case it might be someone else. I was annoyed at first by having to deal with it, but it's so quick and easy to setup, it becomes second nature.
I'm using this app for sometime and everything is good so far. And I'm liking using it. However, I was checking through the app self service sections, and noticed something like if you we hapy 3rd accounts, I'd have to un-link and re-link myself. Please explain me this. Please list out what all come over 3rd party accounts. Thanks in advance.
Very inconvenient! Why can't I just confirm on my Android Wear device? Now I have to click "open on mobile", then unlock my phone and authorize the log in...Very badly designed mechanism!
Can you please add support for Android Wear to approve/decline the login request.. This will be very helpful.
Irritated by having to frequently identify myself. Heaven forbid your not around your device that enables you to gain access to whatever you're doing
I have a brand new phone and the app won't stop telling me to upgrade to a newer version of Android. There are no newer versions for my phone.
Only stupid Americans need this kind of App, a waste of time, low efficiency. Can you imagine my college requires me to use it to log on to my school account? Then why do I need a fking password? So now I have a password for my password?
Its pretty great but I wish you could properly backup from one device to another like authy let's you.
Could you please have an option to accept with one tap instead of approve and confirm through the notification bar? It would cumulatively save a lifetime worth of hours with no compromise in security. Thank you!
Have a new phone with a new number and can't change it because it keeps wanting to call my old number. I have tried to redo it but I can't. Terrible.
Please add fingerprint authentication to Duo Push. I need to use app to sign into various sites multiple times every day. It would be good to make this process go even faster.
Easiest two factor solution available. You may or may not appreciate the need for 2FA, but as it becomes ubiquitous over the next few years and more and more providers require it, having Duo manage it across the board will save so much time and effort!
Double approval through notifications is ridiculous. Why do I need to approve and confirm? Also this flow on Android Wear is atrociously slow. Honestly this needs some serious streamlining.

It's already annoying that I have to do 2 factor authentication on yet another corporate account, but the fact that I have to approve then accept each time on the same devices is a bit much. Otherwise it works like it's supposed to.
