Duolingo English Test for Android
It's okay, but honestly the test needs to calm down when it comes to the fill in the blank. Putting multiple blanks too close to each other ruin the continuity of the story. Meaning the reader has no idea what they are even reading. So how is someone to fill in words to a story that they don't understand because actual descriptive words are left out? Also very few people naturally phrase things the way they are phrased in the app. But in the end it is a kind of good app, I got a 99% but I'm an American so I hope I'm fluent in my native language.
I must pay much just for to know I'm an English expert?!
I think it's not quite good, the fill-in part is just too excessive I barely understood one of the stories, blanks are too close and that makes people get confused with the answers
I really love this app, very useful and cheap. It is even supported by some reputable colleges. KUDOS!!
Rubbish test for retards. But I bet most English teachers in the English-speaking countries won't be able to pass it with 100% score.
I got advanced, although I must confess I am native so it would be sad to get anything else
Why is the test so expensive? $49 for a test to show that your an english expert? Not worth it.
You made me think English is boring. Congratulations.
Easy and simple way to lesen a new language
We are expecting learning English like dulingo app experience..
Duolingo provided me a complementary studies freely!!
It doesnt get my payment through
Is it cost anything? I'm asking .
I'm not giving you any official identification.
It works fairly good in my HTC one and it's good for learning

I am a high schooler who loves english, grammar, and such. The practice test is just filling in blanks and telling whether a word is a word or not, nothing really grammar wise. I'm amazing at english yet I only got a proficient 76-90 on the practice test. It's just really badly laid out.
I am a native Engligh (Canadian and American) speaker, and I must say the practice test made me wonder how people ever learn English like this. It told me that I'm not even over 80% fluent while I am actually 100% fluent. Not sure how useful this app is. Kind of disappointing.
I just DL this app for fun. I'm not gonna lie tho..Trying to do this practice test seriously stressed me out. I don't know if it was because I didn't purchase the real test but, the practice test was completely useless in EVERY WAY. Thankfully I am in NO need of any English language speaking certificates because (judging from the practice test) if I HAD paid money for this 'certified game' I would sue for false advertisement. I'm actually a little nervous to continue with the Duolingo app ); Please improve!
I'm a native English speaker. I got 94-98% Expert on the free practice test. I found the "fill in the blanks" questions to be the most challenging. Determining the context of the sentences and making sure to get the tenses correct were only slightly difficult for me due to the time limits.
This is very poorly written. After seeing some of the reviews I was curious as to how bad it was, and my assessment of the app agree with the majority. I took the practice test and most of the fill in the blanks were very unclear as to the intended meaning of the sentence. Given how many fluent English speakers (myself included) receive less than 90% fluency on this test, I'd be very concerned about anyone wasting money on this.
The test is different. It's not bad. Everyone who is butthurt about being a NES or having a "high" English language level and doing terribly probably aren't as good as they think they are.
It reminded me of my old school days with those fill in the blanks. Took the practice test twice and I'm uninstalling this. Those scores were scary and frustrated, lol. Now I feel a lot better reading reviews from native English speakers.
Native English speaker(American English) took the test (practice test) it was horrifically bad. Other than the questions when you regurgitate what you hear, the rest did not make any sense. The fill in the blanks do not have enough context clues. The 'chose the real word' considering Standard English spelling is possibly too hard. Overall the test is not as good as it should be for $49 and needs to be fixed
Never answers for any queries as well as useless application to receive certificate of proficiency. I don't know how they get recognized by universities of Colombia... Maybe fake information provided to grab customers around the globe
Okay so I am a native English speaker and I enjoy this test. I know that no one speaks English 100% percent because we all speak slang therefore I understand why I received a 59-60% and that's good BUT why would any foreigner need to know more English than a native English speaker? That's all I've got to say about that.
94-99% - expert. Don't know what you lot are whinging about.
Hey this is only the test. Not the course, and there is no explanation about the answer wheter it is wrong or not.
I was just able to hit 60%. Fill in the blanks makes no sense at all.

It's funny how a lot of comments here is from people that are not happy because they didn't get 100℅ while they are Canadian, American, etc. Apparently common sense doesn't come to everybody - THIS IS A TEST! Not everybody from their own countries is perfect in fluency, grammar or word structure, otherwise everybody would be lecturers on universities. Just as an example my old boss used to write everything on a computer because it was highlighting his errors and he was very bad with grammar.
