Mission
"Formed in 1965, the CSI has been instrumental in guiding the Indian IT industry down the right path since its formative years. Today, the CSI has 71 chapters all over India, 418 student branches, and more than 90000 members including India's most famous IT industry leaders, brilliant scientists and dedicated academicians."

The Computer Society of India is a non-Profit professional meet to exchange views and information, learn and share ideas. The society is a pioneer effort which began in the year 1965. The Society is directed towards the advancement of the theory and practice of computer science & IT. Today the CSI takes pride in being the largest and most professionally managed association of and for IT professionals in India.In a span of less than 4 decades, the organisation has grown to an evitable size consisting of professionals with varied backgrounds including Software developers, Scientists,Academicians, Project Managers, CIO's, CTO's & IT vendors to just name a few. It has spread its branches all over the country. Currently rooted firmly at 62 different locations.The Society also encourages and assists professionals to maintain the integrity and competence of the profession and fosters a sense of partnership amongst members. Besides the activities held at the Chapter and Student Branches, the Society also conducts periodic conferences, seminars at Regional and Divisional levels.
