Drifta for Android

The quality of this app is poorer than the South African economy. Zero updates, zero interface improvements, nothing. The screenshots above are rubbish, you can't even make out faces or scores on scoreboards. Connection problems are rife and picture quality is low. If I could give fewer stars I would.

It works as it should but the major drawback is picture quality and resolution which is very poor. AGAIN IT'S NOT COMPATIBLE WITH WIRELESS CHARGING, ALWAYS DISCONNECTS ONCE WIRELESS CHARGING KICK IN. Pls fix asap. Experienced this with Note 5.

With all this technology around I figured at least to get dvd quality from the drifta.Images are pixelated even on the most modern phone.

This application is a time waster, rather use your laptop, perhaps it will work if you lucky. 1st conneted to my laptop and worked a couple of times until it said" Channels Are Scambled" then downloaded the app as alternative, but requires to use mobile data and wifi connection for drifta connection at the same time, however andriod phones can't use data and and wifi connection at once. Dissapointed, application developer should picked up such hick up before publishing the application. This is substandard.

Sorry dstv this app does not allow me to connect to ss3 yet all other channels work.pointless if all I bought it for was bpl soccer. Waste of my data to download.

Was workng for a year then gave me the message that my device is not compatible with the application. Go to the dstv web page and the services.....devices section doesnt even open. Hell what a scam

Dstv doesnt test their products b4 puting them to the store.. This is pure rubish. It doesn't work.. The one for Windows phone works well. Remove this rubbish frm our store pls.

Please make the app work for my phone its a s3 mini with all the tech out there how could it not work! come on guy's I KNOW

It does not work......it's shows me I must connect the drifts but and the restart...my question is how I restart and isn't there an updated app.....not i'v tried it on tab 3 7" and tab 3 10" as well on my st mini not working at all please help

Not working on Sony Xperia Z5. Although it a Drifta for Android device. False product. What are multichoice doing about this?

It used to work on my galaxy S5, now it cannot send the annoying small data package and says server error and I should retry in a few minutes. Phone is not rooted, I have perfect signal and the device worked fine for a short while before. Now it's useless and I will not recommend it. If it wasn't for the sport channels I would have cancelled my dstv subscription a long time ago.

It works good on my S5 (SM-G900F) but the picture quality is very poor and would be nice if i could choose the channels i want and the app keeps crashing every 5-10 minutes of viewing , first the sound goes away and then the picture feezes and then my whole device freezes then i need to leave it alone for a good 3-5 minutes and then only it responds to say that the application has unexpectedly stopped working and needs to be closed or restarted. Other than that its really good

I get stuck in an endless loop. App says connect to the Drifta but then it wants to connect to the Internet too. My phone supports only one wifi connection at a time. Spent half an hour on the phone to dstv but the technician had no answer.

Always connections issues and errors graphics is no better than a walka 7 though I am using a good samsung tablet

This used to work with some occasional authentication problems but now when I try to authorise a device it returns a message saying no Internet connection, tried multiple devices and various Internet providers.

CANNOT CONNECT WITHOUT WIFI. TERRIBLY SLOW AND CLOGGY. WITH LOTS OF DECEPTION ABOUT THE FUNCTIONALITY FROM DSTV.

Works. However the viewing quality is the worst! Bought it to watch soccer on the go. I can never make out the score or see the game time as the quality is bad. You are better off streaming from sport websites.

I'm disappointed at the fact that there is no SS4 on the drifta android, I'm a soccer fan and now I can't watch my favourite team play on the go, it's kinda dodge that they have SS1 and why on earth would you put SS1 SS2 SS3 then go all the way to SS6...I might be mistaken but I was under the impression that Dstv / Supersport is a South African brand, so why not have a channel that plays south African soccer???

Im using gionne m3 and it not compatible with my device if it only work samsung device then specify "samsung decoder"

Poor picture quality, app crashes constantly and some channels do not play at all. What a waste

I have a Z2 and it connect via wi fi. Then it tells us it needs and Internet connection to verify something... Then it tells u it can't connect as the wifi takes preference over data connection and closes l. Frikken useless

Simply the best, except that the picture quality is not too good. More so it drains up battery

This is a good app but it would be better if it could work on a rooted device. Does anybody know why this app doesn't work on rooted devices?

Am using techno L7 and it is working perfectly with clear visual and nice picture quality. Its recommended.

I installed this app but it keeps on telling me to connect the drifta while the drifta is still in the tablet. Why does it not work on my Samsung Tab3 Lite?

Needs internet to load channel list,but you don't need internet to watch the channel. Improvement should be done on this to load channel list without internet.Multichoice should increase the signal up to Badagry and Seme because they are holiday and recreational/tourist area were people bring there mobile devices to always and this will increase the sales because there are over 5 million android mobile in these Areas.

This is all crap. VAD-H12 does not support SM-G7102 (Galaxy Grand II)

It needs to work on galaxy tab 3 7.0 wifi. It makes no sense why it should work on tab 7.0 and tab 2 7.0 wifi yet it can't work on tab 3 7.0 wifi.

The app works great. The initial need to connect to the internet is quite annoying but I believe that's in order to confirm subscription status. Please see how to improve in case no internet available. Also please add these basic functions .1 Lock screen (to prevent unnecessary accidental screen disturbance by finger) .2 Sleep timer .3 Add ability to be used with MultiWindow on Samsung Galaxy PS: produce a drifta hardware that allows for charging the phone while in use. THANKS

This is absolutely rubbish device... Am so angry I wasted my money, my time and patience. It's not working on my F5. You better upgrade this disgusting device

How about upgrading the signal, for better video quality and better viewing experience, as it is blurred on the tab 3 and while viewing it will lose signal , till then 1 star.

1. Of the 4 android devices, it only woks on one of them 2. Sometimes the decoder is not detected at all 3. The authentication takes too long, leaving you waiting for a few minutes before just giving up. The fact that it does it every time you start the app instead of lets say once daily is extremely irritating 4. Works selectively on the 1 device i have that it works on 5. Limited number of channels, some of which i have no access to (not even by paying more money) because i am not a premium user on their satellite service 6. Sometimes it just shows a blanks screen instead of playing a video

Always have a problem connecting and poor quality, total waste of time and money!!!

U need to make the application not to authenticate online it sometime rubbish to connect to intetnet before viewing channels

Wow this app works so well on my S5. It took some doing setting it up, luckily I had a good consultant who helped me from DSTV. Had some issues connecting afterwards but soon learnt the correct procedure. Step 1: make sure your screen lock is off. Step 2: pull out Drifta aerial. Step 3 plug drifta into your usb port. It should connect every time. ..
