About Boise My City Smartcard
Boise My City Smartcard is your way to receive instant discounts from your favorite retailers and restaurants in your area. Think of it as a pre-paid discount credit card. You add money to the Smartcard with your credit card and use the Smartcard to make purchases that are all discounted.
Your GPS will list all the participating merchants in your area. Easily read the associated discount for your favorite merchant. Once you visit the merchant and receive your bill, launch the Smartcard app and enter the exact transaction amount into the app. The merchant discount will be automatically calculated and the discounted amount will be subtracted from your pre-paid Smartcard account.

I use my Smartcard app frequently, and really love the savings. I admit, I was skeptical the first time I used it, but it really was as simple as it says it is, and the savings legitimate! I recommend it.

The app is terrible. It forces itself to run in landscape mode even when you have portrait mode enforced. It turns on GPS and never turns it off. You can't use the "back" button to close the app. The UI looks like it was designed by a DOS programmer. I could go on. But the discounts are, in fact, really nice.

The idea behind the app is great, but I've used it on 3 phones and have never once gone without issue. They need to fire the developers and start from scratch.
