DropTask - Visual To Do List for Android
Wasted all this time setting it up only to find out you can't share anything to it. God don't they know what the internet is about? Another stupid, one dimensional app that can't see people doing anything outside of itself.
Webapp and iOS versions are great... For Android is ridiculous, don't have canvas mode etc. Please develop a better version for Android.
When I went to login with the same google account I use on the web version.... it told me there was an authorization error. Uninstalled then reinstalled.... same problem. There's no point in using this app if I can't login to the same account in both places....
Better update
Love the app! The Kanban view took some getting used to after using the canvas view on the website app, but after a while, it became intuitive and second-nature. I do nearly all my planning on my smartphone, so having the android app has given my productivity a great boost.
Not enough functionality in the free version to make it useful. There should be a low-cost home version. Home users don't necessarily need all the functionality of the business version but should at least be able to create multiple projects. I see great potential here but you may want to revisit your plans re. how you intend to make money. I would be willing to pay a one time fee, but not a subscription. Uninstalling for now.
The stupid thing doesn't let me do anything. I try to create the 1st task and it tells me that I have the limit and that I must upgradecto pro to continue. Keep it - uninstall
It's works on my desktop but not on my smartphone. Authorisation error accrued?
As you can read in a lot of these reviews the app does not sync properly with Android. It will sync sometimes, but most of the time you will have to uninstall the app and reinstall it to get it to sync to your web app. This product has a lot of potential I hope the developers and marketing folks get their act together before they go out of business. It appears their support is very quick to respond to these reviews...maybe they should not be so quick and focus on getting the problems fixed!
I try to use one project but it said I already use it which I haven't. You can only use it if you're upgrading. I like their platform idea but their advertising is misleading.
Main functionality - sync with Andorid devices does not work. Site doesn't have normal support information. Very sad... This application is not useful for people who want to have status of project on web and mobile. Great idea but very, very bad implementation. Ex paid DropTask customer.
There's literally no point in installing the free version - you can't add a single task without being asked to upgrade. I just want to trial it, because so many task management apps are rubbish. I won't spend so much money unless I'm sure it actually works.
Meh. I needed productivity tool to keep track of projects from both desktop and smartphone. Desktop version was ok until they updated it a few months ago. Now the font is so tiny I can't read it unless I'm zoomed in on individual tasks (on a 24" monitor that I can see just fine while doing landscape designs). Kind of negates being able to see the big picture. Ended up removing it from the phone because it was almost impossible to read. Never was able to even determine if synching was a problem as mentioned by other reviewers. Sent feedback and got the standard "we'll look into this right away" response, but nothing seems to have changed in the months since. So, basically, not useful.
I liked the concept, created an account, put some tasks into the web interface, logged into the mobile app and there is zero content. Also no way to create a task from the mobile app. Makes the app of no value.
Looks good but not easy to find anything that works.
The app is a lot better since the latest overhaul but it still has syncing issues which is very frustrating. I add a task on the app, I can see it on the web interface but it's nowhere to be found on the app... even after it refreshes its data / re-downloads the whole project...
The project button doesn't create a new project. I clicked on the help and support button and it took me to a page that links me to downloading the app. This is a waste of time
As a designer, keeping track of what you do and carefully managing your time is essential, Droptask helped me leave boring lists behind and stay organised in a way that is visually stunning.
Was doing the trial version and quite liked it. But the latest update is very bad and hangs most of the time. Needs to be undone. Am looking for a better app now. !!
latest app and web version has created too many issues with project management and it looks like time to upgrade to a better system
I used this app all day every day. Now, with the latest update, it sucks and I'm looking for something else.
I like the app and the site, but tagging tasks does not work on my device. Note 4
I initially liked this app for its visual representation and offline options. But I had crested more than 100 tasks when I was offline over 3 days. Even though my mobile was online serval hours during the past 3 days this app did not sync the data - even though it is not great I am okay with it. But when I opened it when I was online all my planning went off in a jiffy and I am back to the 2 test tasks I created for testing this app. Very poor syncing. I don't see any option right now to get my work back
Drop task is perfect for displaying task groups. We are going pro version soon and will be able to do even more.
Hard to read text. The graphical ideas are great, but there is a lot of work to do on the presentation: A new task starts with tiny black text on a dark blue background. You can change the background by dropping the task into a colored group, but that doesn't solve the size problem. It was painful just to look at and I had to uninstall. Also, the font isn't appealing.
I was really looking forward to using the clever circle arrangement of tasks. But the app runs way too slow to be usable. It takes seconds just to change views. If they can make it fast and snappy like a to-do app should be, I'll certainly try it again.
An app that NEEDS a connection will fail inevitably. It did. It froze. I exit! It also lost the data. And its confusing
Recent update solved my problems. Thanks to the Dev for informing me. This is a mighty powerful collaborative task/project manager. The graphical UI sets this app above all the others in terms of visual info and ease of use.
Free trial is worthless
UI not intuitive
If you easily get distracted and feel unproductive, this app may be a solution for you! The gmail integration is an added plus for this program! I began running my entire business with this app, this year and I feel so much more productive.
Simple and great for visually driven
Absolutely love it.
I'd love to give this a 5 stars..and maybe soon will. After trying asana, todoist and wunderlist...so far this is the app I enjoy the most for lists and tasking. Thank you drop task! Wish the pro versions were a little bit more feasible in pricing.
using app on note 4 running 4.4.4 and the due date of a task can't be changed. very inconvenient...

So fun, and helps a lot.
This interface looks great, but after a few hours of trying to use it, it appears that neither tasks assigned due dates of today/tomorrow nor urgent tasks show up when tasks are sorted by those categories. Is this a bug? Or is there some magic I'm missing?
Superb app!
