Drone Squad

It's a great concept, but the developers still have some work to do to make this a more reliable and useful app. On the reliability end, it's slow. Sometimes the interface is not responsive or intuitive. It also desperately needs a chat section to help organize get togethers. This app has promise, so we'll see how future releases go.

Messaging would be nice yes, but you've seen that request a ton already. The app sends a notification when you edit an event in a group saying that the event was cancelled, which is misleading. It'd been nice to have the ability to "poll" a group, so that you could see who is interested and when and where would work for them. I can't find for the life of me how to mark when you arrive/checkin at an event, and everything we use this for is groups for freestyle primarily, not even racing. I've already found 2-3 people in my area from this app, it just needs to be continued to develop and this will be the best app by far for fpv fliers

I have a group and people in it but am I missing something? I cant work out how to friend / chat / add said members in my groups to organise a meetup or even jist a way to exchange details so we can chat outside the platform...for a app thats meant to connect new pilots others together it dose a very gold job of segrateing us...I can look the person up If all I have is a screen name to go by...how our us pilots meant to meet and discover each other!! Epic fail of an app or I am kissing something obvious!!

Not sure about anyone else but on my phone it's not great. The idea is brilliant but for me the app is almost unusable. Very slow and force closes constantly, especially annoying when trying to set up a meet. Really wish this worked better for me.

Great app and new features rolling in all the time. Met an amazing group of guys to fly with regularly as a result of using this app. There are still a few bugs here and there and some new features that many would like to see, but improvements are still being made and this app gets better all the time.

App seems heavy. Slow to start or go back. Suggest instead of a browser link the frequency for every vtx be included in the app for easier access.

Great app. It still has some quirks and limitations but continues to improve on monthly basis. Not to mention it is free. Can't ask for more than that.

Registered, found my group, got everything on my profile setup. Went back in the app a couple hours later and all my info was gone. Uninstalled and re-downloaded and re-entered my login credentials, and said it was invalid, credentials were correct. Went back to re-register and now I'm stuck with it on a loading screen that goes nowhere. Please fix.

It's I nice app, though it's not perfect. I kinda wish you could connect the TBS tracker, calibrate the rssi, and start the race all on the same page. Other than that, I think it's a pretty solid app.

Well, in overall, I'm not impressed. The first thing I was trying to find was some sort of chat function to communicate, only to find out it's not there. The app is also very slow and seems to be 'hogging' on both my S8 and Note 3, while all my other apps work fluently. Also, on both phones I'm unable to upload my profile picture, it just hangs as if it's being loaded, forever. I would give 1 star because all of this and the amateurish feel it gives. But. The creator of this app, Pete, appears to be actively replying on problems people have with the app. He also knows that the messaging function we all miss is essential for this app to be successful, so they're now building it for an upgrade. To support this, we better give em 5 stars. Things will be better.

It's awesome and getting better every release. The only flaw is that YOU'RE NOT USING IT. We all know that we're flying with spotters but sometimes you feel the need to get out there and need another pilot - especially one that will wreck his quad and not yours so you can learn what humility tastes like without pulling out your wallet. Get on the app - it doesn't require any funny integrations or anything and Pete's working his butt off to get all kinds of cool features integrated - like having channels all worked out before someone arrives and everyone falls out of the sky. Even TBS' Racetracker (the fixed one) is supposed to be integrated at some point. This could be really good, but it needs a lot of people connected to make it useful. Get on it and fly more.

Great idea, but it's slow, under-featured and quite buggy. Sorry devs, it needs work.

This little app is great for scheduling meet ups and has a few more neat little features. I'd love a feature that lets you add locations on a map and rate their flying friendliness. Keep up the good work.

Drone Squad is awesome, easy way to find local people to fly with and make new friends! DS is definitely doing their part in growing the hobby. Keep up the good work guys

Awesome app for those of you wanting to go fly your racing drone with others in the same area! Pete and the crew are improving the app on a daily basis and I can't wait to see what is coming next!

App is a great and easy way to set up a meet or meet pilots in the area.

Great idea, just needs to have more exposure so that there is a larger user base, also could do with allowing the use of TBS tracker in offline mode not connected to the Internet.

Not bad, but the interface feels clunky and slow. Looking forward to future updates and improvements.

New needs more of a base will tuck away. Doubt my area has much.

App has promise but is very beta in ui and features. Ability to limit meetups shown to a zone would be better than seeing what other countries and states have going on.

This is a must have for fpv pilots for meet ups and races.. Love the Racetracker support... It's a Homerun!

I can't contact any of the other members. I downloaded this app in hopes to connect with other pilots. Bummer!

To many chiefs not enough Indians. I had same prob as cyclingsalmon14 make your site easy to use and people wont have the same recurring prob and 1 star ratings genius.

Is great!! I'm new to drone racing and this app is good to know that there are some local race events and great people.

Good app, hopefully more features coming soon, but it gives you a good idea of who in your area wants to fly
