PLEASE READ! Unfortunately, Android is not supporting video recording in background (when no preview is visible). Probably this will be fixed in next versions, but now there is no stable (working for any device) way to to this. Please, dont rate the app low because of this. :)
The app may freeze on some devices or even cause them to reboot. This happens because of driver differencies and will be fixed very soon.
The app is in testing now, so please comment it on Google Play and send feedback to my email: vasilyev.boris@gmail.com.

Like speed, GPS, map (Picture in Picture style), other info written over video, needs to work faster. Option to receive calls on screen, without switching from app.

The camera itself works ok. It records in small segments (about 4 minutes each with my phone on the default settings), and each segment is named with the time the video started, so it's easy to replay an entire drive. Can't run other apps (like Navigation) at the same time. I'm not sure if an incoming phone call would stop the recording, but selecting recent apps stops the camera. Maybe I could start Navigation first, then switch to DriveAssit, and the Nav voice would still work without displaying the map? Still not really an acceptable alternative. Also having the video displaying is mildly distracting. An icon telling me that it's recording is fine, I don't need to actually see the display. Displaying the compas heading and speed would be a nice feature. That info should be available from the GPS. I haven't figured out how to view the video files outside the application. They don't appear in my gallery, and I haven't found them when viewing from a PC. It doesn't mean they're not available, I just haven't found them yet.
