Trac: The Anaesthetic Logbook for Android
Brilliant until I switched phones. The backed up database files don't have a file extension on my Android (saving to Google Drive) and so it tells me invalid file format when I try to restore it. Found a workaround by exporting the old phone database as an RCOA format and importing that.. has rocked my confidence a bit though. Any chance of being told the file format you use? Also needs an option for Sedation..
Flexible set up, allowing good data collection, easy to export cases and backup to the cloud. Easy to use once customised. Importing RCOA logbook a bit tricky but achievable with effort. Would really like to see added: 1) ability to log ventilation mode as a separate field to airway device, 2) ICU reviews/admissions to be added, 3) surgeon as well as supervisor field.
Well done to the creators of this awesome app. Its simplicity is mind blowing and the ease of use makes logging patients' details bearable. Making backups is quick and easy and the rapports look neat and professional. Being able to export to the RCA logbook is an extra (and essential) bonus.
Easy to navigate and simple but stylish design throughout. It would be useful to be able to upload files (pdf, photos, links) to associate with each patient and/or entry.
App is good. But needs to be easier to enter in anaesthetic technique with quick options (not manually enter notes). Also lists should be easy to divide and view in groups like different day, different techniques, different specialty etc
V good. Please make desktop app for pc that links as faster to type with keyboard
Needs an update badly!!
Very easy and intuitive to use. The developer is very responsive to suggestions. Can easily be customised.
Very nice app. Still on the free version - and quite love it.
Way better than the RCoA 'official' log book
Great logbook easy and quick to use
Doesn't allow details to be repeated on a list
Good job. Easy to usr. Star system is excellent.
Lovely logbook to use!
Have used for a couple days as part of the free trial. Intuitive to use, great look, and functionality. Easy to add new locations, procedures and favourite regular selections. Availability to use free for first 25 patients is very helpful prior to subscription.
By far the best logbook I've used and easily the best looking one. Extremely easy to use and great how it shows a suggested list of procedures based on location and specialty.
I'm a new anaesthetics trainee, been using this app for the past month. The free trial for the first 25 cases is great and I've now paid up for the subscription. It does pretty much everything I'd want it to. It also looks amazing: really slick, Material Design-y and very intuitive. My only criticism thus far is that you can easily edit patient details (e.g. age) after creating a new log, but not any details about the procedure e g. name of the surgical procedure, ASA grade. Other than that, 5 stars!
"Does what it says on the tin" and good to see a polished application for anaesthetists that doesn't require Apple hardware. Needs landscape mode however for tablets!

Very user friendly. Easy to create reports. Lovely interface. Recommended!
Gets easier as you keep using it. However the display is limited and the report is too long 5 pages ! Should be able to whittle it down to 2.
This app provides a very quick and easy way of uploading your case details. I would definitely recommend it to both Anaesthetic and non-anaesthetic trainees.
Excellent app, easy to enter data and backup to Dropbox
How do I move the cases from one device to the other, e.g when I buy a new phone?
Beautifully designed & really intuitive to use. After the trial (25 entries), subscription is just £1.99 per annum. Logs can easily be exported to Dropbox or Google Drive & later reinstalled, as I had to when I changed phones recently. The interface is bright and colourful too.
Best logbook app available for Android. Not much more to say!
Best logbook app I have used by rar
Love this log book
Fantastic app
Good app.
Brilliant app
It can be trialled free without a sign up. It's extremely easy to use and relatively customizable. The annual fee, now just £2/year, has the advantage of continuing development and that it won't stop being supported like iGas has... It has fixed many of the previous issues and the reports are becoming more customizable. I think it is probably now the best available. Recommended. (p.s. I do not to my knowledge know the developers!)
Great app
A generally polished app, with a just a few things that could be ironed out (no art line input and slightly clunky date input). Best offering on Android at present. Edit: since reviewing the team have made changes addressing all the problems I had with it. An excellent log book.
I was shown this logbook app by a colleague while I was using the RCOA app on my iPhone. I was so impressed that I would count it as one of the main reasons I have now bought an android phone. It is stable, easy to use, highly customisable and has a look in keeping with other modern software. The only thing missing is automatic backup (although this can easily be achieved with Titanium backup on a rooted phone).
Just what I needed. A reasonable price as well. It could also be marketed to EM trainees who need to keep a logbook of procedures and procedural sedation. I've noticed there's a fair amount of customisation that can be done, but it'd be nice to have some default settings for this.

The annual fee has the advantage of continuing development and that it won't stop being supported like iGas has... It still needs a bit of work on the reports as still can't use the location data entered or easily see the notes added. Still needs some pin or password to protect patient data. Recommended
Great app, nice design needs password protection.
Having come from igas log im looking for something similar. This looks like it has plenty of potential but still needs some work. Would be nice to have a add similar record to save time in entering data. Also adding airway maintenance can be a bit a irritating since its integral to every case we manage. Also tried to import my RCOA logbook which has over 2000 cases but the app only recognised 625?

Really good-looking app and was working well. Then imported a lot of cases - again worked well but now app crashes when I try to enter another case or edit an existing one. Might be as I was using the free version but can't see a way to upgrade now and I've not had any message asking me to upgrade, so bit stuck and currently not so much use disappointingly.
