Drift Connect

I have to get far, far away from home/work/public WiFi networks before my phone will connect to my Drift Stealth. The connection process takes some time and many button presses before I can preview the camera field of view. Playback and sharing seem to work well once connected but the WiFi problem is annoying.

Quite disappointed with the app. Very slow and clunky, connecting to the Wi-Fi is a bit of hit and miss, the live feed takes an age to update and deleting a file does nothing, which is quite annoying, so I have to format the memory card every time I want to delete a file! Truly poor, not good.

It's not bad, and mostly works. You can adjust camera settings, and watch live (if there's not too much interference), which are the main things. It's only designed to work in portrait mode, although you can play back in landscape, and the delete function doesn't work at all.

Local WiFi interferes with the connection, it's a bit jittery while playing back video. It won't let you download video files to your phone. Still a useful app, but it needs improving.

The app is terrible. No problem connecting to the camera but you'd want to be on the moon to get a playback that isn't jumpy due to interference.

It's actually quite embarrassing.

No problem connecting with my Samsung J1 running Lollipop. Maybe 1 second delay between camera and phone. No problem setting up camera. Great app

It doesnt download directly to phone u cant edit anything thru it theres jus so much the whole app needs to be redone

Tried this with both Samsung A3 2016 and Lenovo B. With the Samsung the image just freezes in preview mode, so not much use. With the Lenovo, preview works OK but it locked up my camera when pressing record stop on the phone. Sent the camera into a beeping loop which was non-responsive to any button press, so I just had to let the battery run down. Terrible app.

Unfortunately doesn't work with Android 7 - app will not connect to cam even after connecting phone to cam's wifi.

twitchy crashes my s6 phone and the WiFi is basicly a joke don't bother downloading

Keeps stopping on Samsung Galaxy s7 edge very annoying sometimes works sometimes doesn't.... has mind of it's own !!

I have no problems with wifi, dont bother with the features but its indispensable for setting up the view.

Is it just me I can only get it to download into the app and not onto my phone memory. And once it's in the app I can't do anything with it apart from watching myself

Expected so much more for a very sleek and capable camera! !!!! The WiFi is stupidly laggy, cannot delete files from the camera itself.....and heaven forbid you want to download a HD file over WiFi! !!!!!.........Drift sort this out! !!!!!!!!

Even with updated firmware camera will not connect to WiFi 95% of the time. When I do finally get the WiFi to connect the app often says unable to connect. The few times I did get everything to connect I could not view everything on the camera. Drift stealth 2 with Samsung S5 is simply horrible. Yuck.

It has not failed to connect for me . connects pretty quick. But playback is very slow and sometimes not at all. Someone really needs to make this work a lot better if they want to compete with the bid players like gopro

The drift is great. The downside of wifi connection is local wifi interference from household routers. Expect some interference if you are close to a router. The app does everything i would expect although basic. Use the wifi to set up your camera on your head for position etc. But connect via cable if at home as routers wifi may cause issue. In my opinion. I have suggested this issue to drift. Lets see what they come up with.

Fine little camera. A few tweaks and it could be brilliant. No problems connecting the wifi(android). When you delete the files using the app they do not remove it from the camera. If you refresh after deleting the files they all reappear leaving the memory card full. This renders the camera useless if you cannot select what you want to keep or record over

Download and print the manual, charge the camera for at least four hours from a wall socket the first time. Even if it says fully charged after just three. Get a quality, branded, fast memory card. Then install the firmware update. Learn how to use it properly and the app is awesome. Just take your time with it. I am so pleased I bought the remote control to use on my motorcycle. That works great too

Left one star at the start of the year, just had a chance to use the new firmware and app. It's better and now gives me a reason to use the app. The wifi shortcut button is a great idea. Only issues now being that live preview is still too far behind to be really useful and watching recorded videos I get a couple of seconds before it freezes up and I have to skip back/forward to get another few seconds.

Using with my Sony Z3 and works well. Camera stealth 2 with firmware update W1007 connects fast every time.

Don't bother downloading, does not work. I tried to make it work. Wasted a good two hours. Lazy app developer. I wish that I could give it a negative star. -⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Why do i think so: 1. There's an access to only 20% off all the possible settings of the camera. 2. There's no access at all to timelapse and photoburst modes. 3. In Share tab the application does not show any of camera's files. Highly disappointed.

Initally app was not working at all. It was very important to disconnect my router, to get the app working. App sometimes connects to the cam sometimes not. If the app is connected to the cam AND the router has been switched off it's working fine.

Needs to be more compatible with the drift ghost s . As this app works better with the drift s . Only you can't adjust settings on this app

Half the time I can't get my phone to connect to my camera's WiFi, but then when it does work, everything has this pink and cyan "snow" everywhere. It tricked me into not recording the best part of the ride because I thought the camera was broken.

Doesn't playback videos in HD, when a video is deleted, when refreshed it just appears back again and the live feed is very low quality, also does not let you download videos sometimes
