Ubuntu Pocket Guide for Android
It is not very helpful as a guide -- maybe a "cheat-sheet". For all of the commands I looked at, there was a one-line description. So, this is a crappy guide in the sense that you have to already understand what the commands does for the advice contained to really be any help. I expect more help from any reference that runs on a hand-held computer.
Not soo good. It don't have details and all commands
Complete waste of space
No need any permissions
Flashes of bright white whenever I click something. Also... what's up with the pentagram?
Sample command not available, description only
Nice app for quick reference to various Ubuntu commands. It would be helpful to provide some syntax examples, especially for terminal shell commands. Missing the "wget" command.
Complete waste of space
good
inaccurate // incomplete
A good source of information for the Linux Novice.
Complete waste of space
good
And no special permissions means the dev won't be mining for data
Useful for me
Can't read text on that background. keep the ui plain and simple. less is more. Also look at other guides for type of info that a guide is for
The app lacks real substance. I would recommend including the switches and their functions with examples to create a truly useful pocket guide.
Nice presentation, but lacks information on command flags and examples.
Adding example uses to every command and switches options would make this a 5 star program
No syntax? Even the explanation of what a command does... Far too poor for this to be considered helpful. Hate to bash ya, but for now it's an uninstall.
It is great. I saw commands i forgot about after not uaing them for years. GREAT JOB!!!
No use of this app. So poor...
Well done developer! As one of the 11.04 devs I ask that you apply a solid background for easy reading!
Well the command pretty much sums it up
Needs a tips and tricks section.
Awesome app! Most of the commands are there but needs more. Needs tips and tricks to perfection.
But not what I thought it was
Guide not very complete. 10 second in a search engine is better.
For super noobs only.
Not that useful, it should atleast show the man pages for commands.
It helps
And no special permissions means the dev won't be mining for data
Its a very nice effort , but I think if u can add some more detailed & more commands than a batter option
Liked it. Simple and clean
I've just installed ubuntu for the first time, and this has already helped a lot. Thanks!
Thank you, I like the app, it will be even better if you can add a sample of the commands as they look on the terminal it selft. Other wise I find it very help full. Thank you
Please display the manual for each shell command. If possible talk about usage too. It will be greatly helpful if this is done.
Just as eye-catching as Ubuntu and just as easy to use, this puts all of the most common terminal commands at your fingertips - courtesy of the brief descriptions, it is also a handy educational tool, backed-up by a powerful search feature! Highly recommended.
The app is not very useful. Poor and limited options, no thorough explanation of entries. There are better sources of information, duh... +1 star given for no unnecessary permissions.
