Vivace: Learn to Read Music for Android
As a beginner violinist, I became interested in reading music. This app is hands down where to go to start learning fast, and with great method. 5 stars, thank you for the quality app!
I've struggled to sight read bc when reading pieces I soon learn them by ear and guess intervals. This app helps bc it gives me random notes in any key to decipher. One improvement I'd suggest: the countdown test I only discovered by accident and it's the bit I like best, and you have to tap to select it each time from the normal timed practice mode and reselect the number of minutes. Nothing worth losing a star over. Works well on moderate size phone. Might be even better if rotated (showing just one staff) for wider piano keys. Don't expect the theory lessons to be enough on their own if you're a newbie, but good refresher or intro if you research a bit.
Awesome app! One thing though, on galaxy s8 if I go to home screen and back into app it freezes and needs to be closed.
I'm loving it so far. On an S8+. Wondering if there's plans to add midi keyboard compatibility via adapter? That'd make my life so much easier.
Whoever created this.... THANKYOU!!!!! THANKYOU VERY MUCH!!!.. it really teaches you the basics of not just PIANO PLAYING.. but MUSIC itself.. you will 100% learn from spending time to this app.
Liked it.Especially the practice mode. I am wondering how fast a musician can read notes. I hardly reach 180 notes in 5min. I guess a good reader reads 180 per minute?
Best app in it's class, veery helpful for beginners.Oh and and to the developer/s,THANK YOU very much for creating this, life saver.
calls itself a "tutorial" when in reality it just gives you notes in the "lessons" and doesn't tell you what the correct answer is
Wonderfully clean ui and simple. This app replaced my book for studies practically.
Very cool. In the trainer, it would be great to adjust the number of questions before having to restart. I want to keep going indefinitely.
Best app for learning music theory and improving reading speed ever!!
The App Is Good But Suggestion Is That You could Add A Lesson About The Test Notes.
This have been really helpful. I got an overall idea on reading music.
Need MIDI interface support
Well structured, genuinely helpful software.
Helped me a lot! Great App
It's edutainment...
This is a great music theory app
Great app for piano players
Best for beginners!
Very good app.
Simple and great.
Thx
Simple and easy
I love it
No joke, in 3 days with this app I have a better understanding of notes than I got in all of 4th grade (which is when I gave up). It's fun, easy, and actually works. The ads aren't intrusive at all.
the system is good, but the notes don't actually line up with the correct positions on the piano. this will train people incorrectly.
Thank You . We really appreciate this app . It helps my friends and I very much and we learn and it encourages us to continue on our wonderful adventure and world of learning music .
I'm learning violin and this is really helpful to understand the notes and how to read music.
The new update is amazing and it is a well structured app
It looks like a really nice app, but ads are shown way too often, and I mean ads during the lessons and full screen ads afterwards too. Way too annoying, I'm uninstalling.
Awesome
Used it for quite a while, it was good but a recent update increased the number of ads and their intrusiveness. The ads also started making it crash, which is the worst bit. Uninstalled.
It has such a beautiful interface. So easy to use. It's become hard to find such apps for free these days. Good job. I really appreciate your efforts. ;) Also please keep updating. It can become the best free music tutor app for Android!!!!
So this app is like, the best reading music app ever and I'm a singer you may know me my name is Stacey Jackson so I recommend this app
Very good. I have recent started learning sheet music and this is exactly what I wanted. Nice clean GUI, simple configuration.
No bass clef and the sound only plays after you hit the right note. How pointless...
I used to suck now I won America got talent my name is adrean ramoff

Decided to get into music in my 30s and its been tough to find time to improve my music reading skills around my busy schedule... This app has done just that in record time!!! Only thing I could want I want is a similar app for the violin, instead of the piano keys have the violin neck and selecting the appropriate place for the notes (the notes would take less space, only treble clef) applying this setup for violin would make it the best app out there
