Love it, definitely worth the price. Only thing is there is no closed caption option. Please add closed captions as soon as you can...I like having them as an option when the overall sound is low (I have to turn my tv up from 14 to 50/60 when I watch .

Get rid of that splash screen! Please improve loading times, remove the intrusive static splash screen whenever opening the app or starting a video. Some might think it's cool out add the ambience, but we just want to get to the content as fast as possible, which is one of the only strongholds of Shudder. Will rate five stars once the splash screen and squishy sounds disappears!

I find the app works best on my laptop with my Ethernet cable plugged in. It sucks with wifi. But when I have the plugged in connection it works awesome and I can constantly watch movie back to back without buffering. You guys need CC though. I like watching movies late at night and I need CC cuz my hearing just ain't what it used to be, plus I have my volume on low when I'm watching at 2am. But overall it has a few bugs but for $5 I can't complain and it has a good selection of movies

I like it but I also hate that every time I get off of the app the next time I get on it says it has trouble loading and then I constantly have to log in

Terrible at Chromecast/streaming - barely passable. Buffered way too much, ruled out local connection issues. Functions for everything else.

This app makes no sense it asks you to put your e mail in and when you do it says someone with the e mail already exist well duh of course my email already exist it wont let me proceed unistalling net flix is better

This app did NOT work for my last phone AND my new phone which I got an hour ago (Moto Z2 Force). Very disappointed that I spent my money on something that I can't even watch on my mobile phone.

Subscribed to the free trial and was repeatedly prompted to subscribe when trying to watch any movie. Trying to subscribe again resulted in Google telling be I'm already subscribed. Unsubscribed and uninstalled.

Great got a good selection but i cant get on my tv whats the point, cant even get it on my windows 10 laptop, i dont have chromecast or apple so ive cancelled until i can get it on my windows app i cant watch it thanks for reply

Garbage chromecast support still isn't fixed in newest version. This is kind of ridiculous. Hire an engineer who knows what they're doing and get this fixed. Maybe skip one shudder exclusive so your service works properly first..

Decent selection, but it would be really nice if I could see what language the movies are actually in. Please don't say "English" when you really mean "some other language with English subtitles." I get that a lot of people won't watch foreign films. But advertising them as English language films isn't going to make someone watch them who otherwise wouldn't... and it's annoying for people who queue up a movie to play in the background, or who don't want to devote 100% of their attention to a film at a given time. I'll gladly watch foreign horror flicks, just, please categorize them as such.

I love the app on the roku but sometimes movie are "not available in my area" and the app on my phone just flat out currently isn't working.

Shudder is the best when it comes down to true horror movies but the biggest downside is the buffering between movies, Im having problems with buffering daily. I'm paying monthly so hopefully they'll work hard to get this working the way it should.

Shocking, and not the films. Nothing but loss of sound, buffer issues, playback generally. How can you charge for something that doesn't work?

I paid for it. When I try to turn it on I get an error message as follows"An unknown exception has occurred. Please try again or contact support." I love the service on my pc and amazon stick. Just won't open on either my LG v19 or Galaxy s8 plus. Can you help?

Not sure but if this is a horror/thriller movie app weres friday the 13th. nightmare on elm street. Halloween. Saw see none of above on there not even texas chainsaw masacre without films like that dnt see app going very far

Updated to newest version and now I get an error that says an unknown exception occurred before closing itself. I was already on the fence after not being to watch movies in surround sound (really???) and the app not working on android tv. Not being able to use it all sealed the deal and got me to cancel. Very disappointing. Ooh yeah I almost forgot to echo the buffering problems it has. Every other streaming service works fine except this one.

When i first got the app over a year ago it worked great. I was happy with the selection. With every new version it gets worse and worse. Now I get 2 secs of movie in between nearly a minute of a red S because it freezes. Support is non existent. They are no help at all. Im about to try and stop the service ( and payments) which Ive heard is nearly impossible. The app is good in theory but it sucks in practice..

Keeps freezing and buffering. Cant watch 5 mins with out it freezing. I wish it worked alot better. If shudder doesn't fix this problem soon you will lose another costumer.. Too bad they have awesome movies

Certain movies freeze my whole phone. I keep the app around as it has the best collection of horror movies in one place. Fix the app before you charge! Remember, Netflix and Amazon have virtually no issues. Fix. The. App.

Pretty cool movies/clips but freezes way too much (every few minutes on very good wifi) No other apps (Netflix, fullscreen ECT. ) have this problem. Fix it before the trial is up or I won't subscribe! (Galaxy S7)

I was dissapointed. They have a lot of horror movies, but not much diversity, I was looking for a good thriller, psychological thriller even. Mostly just blood and gore and stuff I've never even heard of.

Content and navigation is good, but there's not much point to a streaming app that won't stream. Every movie I've tried to stream to Chromecast had either skipped a lot or completely froze so I couldn't watch the movie. I will not be continuing past the trial. Very disappointed.

Update: app is buggy again. Needs more work. Great selection but app is very buggy. I have paid for a year and would like to use but sadly this needs a lot more work. I will continue to support but the tech issues need to be sorted a.s.a.p. Update: Chromecast issue still not solved. 15 minutes into new film "Creepy", app has stalled twice. Please fix Chrome issue folks. Every film is problematic. I'd like to renew this every year, but it has been months now. Maybe have a chat with the folks at Netflix or Cravetv or YouTube or Daily motion or Tubi TV, re: Chromecast . Update: seems to be fixed. Working very well now. Watched a film all the way through. Bravo!

It's not the app so much that is terrible, as it is the service that it provides that is pure s@#t. Most definitely not worth the money or the headache.
