PF Battle Lite for Android
Its a clumsy app to begin with lacking so many obvious features such as sorting and organization. But worst of all its like a combination of Google search and a clingy girlfriend with its begging for money and reviews
Why does this app need so many odd permissions? Such as access to: -Identity and accounts -Google licenses -Protected Storage. None of this seems neccesary to for an advanced calculator. And none of this was necessary for the authors other apps. Deleting until it is less intrusive.
Once I downloaded it I couldn't get past the version info screen. Hour later still the same issue. Played without it. Seems to be working now, I'll use it next week.
Oh, to those, who tempt it not, go away and suck'n thy thumbs.
Very helpful use every time I play
Not useful.
I wish the free version went up to level 5 but still good none the less!
Rather pleased with the app overall. One very minor fix: some creatures have negative saves, and the app doesn't let me input them as negative.
This app is very well put together I'm hoping to be able to use it for the game that I've been running.
Wooooooo hôooooooo
Mmmm xkdk
This app is very useful in organizing battles for PF as well as DND. There are some bugs, when trying to delete/load battles I can't see the menu. I am deeply considering getting the paid version, but may wait until some of the bugs are fixed.
This app helps speed up combat by allowing for advanced prep. I can preload combats and initiatives, speeding up "flip" time
Simply the BEST inititive tracker and monster info tracker out there. That being said there could be improvements, the interface feels a tad clunky, I cant figure out how to delete a monster I modified and I can't write notes on each creature. Other then that. Theres no comparison, if this was slightly more polished i would trust it would be a must have for all pathfinderians.
Inability to edit battle names and inability to edit custom pcs once added to a battle are very frustrating. Fix those you'll have my money.
No more stacks of books and paper!
Would like to see some more features for adding characters and monsters, but overall it is useful. One of the only apps I've seen that allows you to manually input intiatives or roll for individual monsters.
For what it is, this app is incredibly useful however it would be much better if it had the ability to edit battles after you created them. Also lacks a few monsters such as basic spiders.
Does what I want. Wish I could put in more detailed NPCs, but it's still nice. ,
The free version is little more than a demo, it won't let you select any monster higher than CR3. Looks like the paid one might be decent though.
this rating is due to not being able to create my own MOBs.. and thus not being able to use it in any of my games.
Two views of the battle make it easy to follow the round, and see stats.
It's ok
Does some of what you already do on paper, but does it more clumsily and less efficiently. But it's on a tablet, so there's that I guess o_O Also, fewer ways to customize your adversaries than the pen and paper method. Slows down gameplay at the table, since you're messing with your tablet while trying to run a game. Lack of a decent tutorial hurts this app's usefulness. Seriously, the "tutorial" is one of those YouTube videos where some guy is just messing around with the program to some crappy music.
First, great app. As "Combat Manager" has yet to be released for Android, this is easily the best battle app for Pathfinder. I love how easy it is to add the PC's, roll initiative for all of the monsters, then change the PC initiative. Also, I really appreciate the ability to click on special abilities and spells. Very handy. However, on my Nexus 7, it won't show the whole card for an enemy when in landscape mode. It makes it hard to use the Condition button. Also, familiars are not included from the first Bestiary. These are helpful to re-skin for lower levels. Keep up the good work!
Looks very good. Using it tonight. Luigi, is there any way to bring in custom monsters from an external source? If you did that, this thing would be amazing. Like if there was a website or secondary so that let you put in custom monsters (or is there and I just missed it in the app?)
Only issue is not sure how to add custom monsters and cant find details on how lite version defers from paid.
