About ChromaCam
In ChromaCam, you can take snapshots and record video(without audio) like in a normal camera.
But what makes it different from a normal camera is its ability to take snapshots and live recording of camera blended with and any media of your choice.
Hence, In a few simple steps, you can create your own weather forecast video or superhero flying pose.
Firstly, select the media by tapping the media button and choosing media from the media chooser.
Then you need to select a color(s) in the camera preview to remove and show the background media.
There are 3 modes to choose from while shooting.
- the normal camera mode where you cannot select a transparent color in the preview.
- the select color mode where you select a single color to remove in the preview
- the multiple selection mode where you can add multiple shades to remove.
In one of the last two modes, if you tap anywhere on the preview screen, you can select a color to remove.
As you select the colors, they arrive in the rectangular grid in the bottom left corner. You can select any of the colors by tapping on it in the grid, or remove the color by swiping it to the right.
You can adjust the tolerance of the selected color by adjusting the bar to the left of the screen.
If a video is selected as the media, you will see some video controls have arrived in the top right corner for play, pause, seek and stop. Adjust the video to the desired location by using these controls.
Now you are ready to shoot. If you are happy with your editing, you can close the edit controls by tapping the arrow in the top left corner.
To toggle between snapshot and recording mode, use the top-right toggle button. Note that in android versions < 4.3, this toggle button will not be visible.
Use the button to take snapshots in snapshot mode or record in record mode.
