I've been using dotVPN on my Chromebook for several months now & it has been an incredibly useful tool for me. It wasn't until recently, that I began experiencing issues, connecting through the dotVPN app on my new Galaxy S7 Edge. I tried visiting dotVPN's support page for Android, but still couldn't connect. Then, I realized my phone's location was switched on, which is why I couldn't connect (for security purposes). So, Android users: Disable your Location 1st & then, dotVPN will connect automatically! :)

Keeps disconnecting when running from the background. Needed you to go back to the app so it will reconnect again which is inconvenient and annoying. I have this in my chrome extension on pc and works great. Just not on my android. My rating is for android app.

Very poor as with all free VPN applications. As with anything in life you get what you pay for...and that is nothing when you pay nothing. Not to mention for anything seriously confidential, using a VPN on a mobile device that is linked to your identity may not be the most intelligent thing to do for privacy sake.

App works perfectly smooth. The only thing that buggs me is the little icon on my notification bar that is still showing, even though I am disconnected. It should be an option to disable the notification when your phone is not connected to a VPN.

No ads or need for premium upgrade. But it is difficult to shut down. This is a problem because I don't want it on while I am at home. It cuts down my bandwidth from 110 to 14 Mbps.

This dotvpn is always having a problem, example, change location to singapore but after connected it became unknown location, and for opera,yandex,firefox this dotvpn is always rejected by those browser, as a customer, how could I trust you?

UPDATE: I forgot my password. What should I do? If you forget your password, don't worry. DotVPN provides an easy password recovery system. If you have consistent problems logging in, don't hesitate to contact us via the "Support" link on the right side of the page. I've SPEND 20 MINUTES WITH DIFFERENT BROWSER. I'm in the market for a new VPN. There is nothing wrong with min, but every six (6) months or so I like to look around and check out what new "talent" there is.. LoL unfortunately DOT didn't work so well on my Tab. I tried everything I could think of. Also had a few friends take a look. We couldn't figure out why it was consistently slow. Other than that, it was all cherries!!

I have it on Google Chrome, and it works very rarely, giving me a proxy error. But on my phone it works on anything but my school's wifi. On my home wifi, it often makes my Web browsers have errors, DNS and Proxy.

The good news is that it passed the VPN leak test, which is what you need a VPN to get right, right? I don't use it often, but it always worked when I needed it. Note to devs: when listing my ISP to the world, you show that I am located in Toronto, in Prince Edward Island. This is confused and might cause a user who has to be in Ont. some problems.
