dotFIT Program for Android
The app should be same to the Web version. The app doesn't even sync with my fit bit like the Web does. It's not as helpful as the Web which has more features. Don't waste your time if you want to do nothing more than track your calories.app is not accurate
I work for Crunch and this app is terrible. I recommend myfitnesspal. I'm embarrassed to present an app like this to my clients.
They fixed the activity entry since my last review, so I'll say it's OK now. But MyFitnessPal is better for me so I'm removing this app. Seems to have a better food dB and it syncs with my Polar heart rate monitor and tracker.
I cannot add custom food. I don't know why i used to be able to. Time to uninstall and find a new app.
Interface needs to be updated with better showing of nutritional value and a widget would be nice. The app is a waist of time and never syncs with my fit bit. Love the online version just a little delayed with loading. Absolutely love dot fit but this application needs a lot of work. The best option i have found is bookmarking the website to my cellphones home page. I am deleting this application waist of time and space.
All of a sudden something changed and I haven't been able to login for over a week. Quite useless now. PLEASE FIX THE NO CONNECTION
2016 - Now they seem to have addressed the issues. It does seem to be functioning properly. Pit it took them two years AFTER releasing the app to get to the point of useful functionality. From 2013 - I've being trying to use this device off and on for over a year. Every time it hangs up at the login and I have to restart my phone to unlock anything. The problem has been reported several times and no progress has been made.
This app is beyond awful! Information from my online profile doesn't sync correctly, can't edit any information through the app. So many features don't work, like 95% of what you'd expect it to do, it doesn't. I emailed support a few weeks ago with all my problems and got no response back! So guess what, you and your crappy app are not my problem anymore.
I'm not sure what issues everyone else seems to be having but the only issue I had was it couldn't sync with my Fitbit Surge for a few days. I call Dotfit customer support yesterday and was told that Fitbit changed their Authenticity code and Dotfit was working to resolve the issue. Fastforward to today. I am back up and running as before. Great customer support. I have been using this app since April and have never had any issues with how it tracks my food content or anything. Works great
It doesn't link with my fitbit. I can't find half the foods u eat.
This app is not actually registered to share information with MFP. Please change this asap!!!
Personal trainer
Would be much better if you could scan Barcodes. I also don't like the database of foods.. It's not very thorough but my trainer asks me to use it so I do.
I only downloaded the app to sync it with MFP. It won't sync from the app or online. I emailed support @ dotFit and they told me it was something I didn't do and I needed to create a goal. Which I did. If the representative really looked at my profile, they would have seen I had a goal. If they didnt, well the problem seems to be human error and technical error. The technical error I get... Human error happens but when you can see my profile you shuld be able to see I have a goal...
...the only problems I have with this so far is the quick add part and the mobile app portion of dotfit not showing where the calories are coming from ei: fats, carbs, and protein. You can find that info on the desktop site but if you're like me you rarely use it. Once again I wish I could take into account what types of calories I am eating when using the quick add. For building mass its keeping me on track as to my intake but there's a lack of tracking other parts of the diet for the mobile app right now.

I Dont like how its food log works. I could not edit quantities of food.
Worked fine for me til I upgraded to marshmallow. No images in the workout descriptions.
Latest update broke the app. Keeps saying I do not have an active program even though I can access it no problem seeing it on my computer.
I have a galaxy s5 active; I can't get this to link with myfitness pal which is where I track my food. It linked to fitbit just fine but gets frozen every time I try to link myfitness pal. The way it explains the workouts is good, and I like the mini videos of how to do exercises, but it would be good if I could view an overall calendar showing what exercise is planned for what day instead of it just popping up the day of. Makes it difficult to plan ahead and schedule my days accordingly.
I work at a gym that uses dotfit so I was told to familiarize myself with the program. Well it's garbage. I've been trying to several weeks to get it to work. Nothing. I registered in the website, that's fine, but it will not sync with this app. My registration on the website week not work in the app - it says I have no account. So, it spits me to the website, where it says I already have an account. I log on there, still doesn't work on the phone app. Useless. I've uninstalled this app so many times.
This app needs a lot of work, the information in the profile isn't correct some of the calorie counts seem ridiculous, and good luck trying to find the food you are trying to put in because that food search option is an absolute farce. It IS well designed for the eye. ..but good God is it nearly useless
The app doesn't recognize many of the foods I am trying to enter and i f I try to enter anything with commas, it auto-enters the words as separate food items into a random meal, with zero calories listed, even if one of the words is a brand.
I was advised to use this app after signing up for the gym, so the trainer can track what I'm doing when I'm not in a session. We set the account up before I left the gym, but when I put the app on my phone later it wouldn't ever log me in. The log in works and I can access the website with it, but not the app.
Dotfit
My trainer at UFC Waikele has me using this to track my macros and whatnot. The app doesn't even work. At all. I can log in. That's all. Not to mention none of the nutrition info is even close to being correct. I have the product in front of me and the app has it all wrong. The calories for me are insane. I don't even know what's going on.
Love the app but I just got a Samsung galaxy S4 and now i I can't see the videos for my workout.
Ever since last update, the app randomly logs me out. Now it won't even let me log in and it just gets stuck on logging in with the circle continuously spinning.
Just updated this app and now it doesn't want to let me log in using my email or my Facebook!
This app will not sync with MyFitnessPal and it's very frustrating. I'm not a fan so far. Awful food search and is in need of a barcode scanner.
Needs a scanner or a better way to enter items. The app is limited. The full website is also a pain to use. Not cool ! Working with a trainer and my plan is loaded on this site. I need to use my fitness pal to plug in my day. And use as a cross reference.
The food tracking is hard to navigate as is entering the actives properly. If you can get everything entered properly it's good for keeping track of where you are at for the day.
This app would be great if you could scan barcodes to get nutritional information to make logging food easier like other apps. If not, why not let it sync with myfitnesspal so we can use that scanner? Also, the android version of this app states I'm a smoker but my online profile and iphone app states I'm not a smoker (which I'm not). What the hell?? That bug needs fixed. Plus the app's interface seems outdated compared to other apps.
I have two apps like this. Two biggest downfalls of this app is the seemingly lack of foods being able to look up to log for calories and such. I couldn't find instant breakfast mix to save my life and don't always have the time to sit down and design one with all the calories and nutrition. Second problem I face I'd the lack of comprehensive exercise diversity. Pretty much everything could use better descriptions. Thank you.
I put in "feta cheese" and had to scroll down 25 items past cheeseburger, cheese pizza, cheddar, etc before selecting feta cheese. Needs to add Barcode scan for input like my fitness pal app.
This program is not friendly for adding food, almost be very thing i try to add is not in the library, and too many foods only vaguely related do come up.
Personal trainer wants me to use this app, but honestly I have used better. It doesn't have enough exercises to compute calories burned. Needs yoga and Pilates moves. He has me doing a lot of interval training including moves from these two types of exercise. So it could be better.
I wish this app had a scan your food option....otherwise I like it so far...
This app is the worst by far I've used for a calorie counter. It's beyond slow and i seriously do not have time every day to spend an hour entering food.

I've been using for 2 weeks and already having a lot of difficulty. This app does not always pull the food calories over. It also changed my weight to something completely different. I also wish it had Barcode scanning capabilities and capabilities with my Garmin device to track activities. I like to see the body graphic, that's a nice feature as calories are added and reduced.
