connected at 11pm and by 4am it loses connection every night. hasn't worked once in the week that i have it. not sure if its the app or the device. device cant work without app so no time is synced to device. ive given it every possible permission i can but connection is lost every night.

You have to give the app permission for your location or the app won't work. Very weird. Why does it have to have location permission just for weather alerts?? Red flag. Also, the Bluetooth disconnects all the time from the alarm itself. Not reliable at all. When it DOES work it works great, as advertised, but only working 60 or 70% of the time doesn't cut it. Wouldn't recommend. Do not buy!!

Agree with other reviews. Updated version is disappointing. When there is zero attention to detail it shows. For example when I first set it up, the message said "Conglaturations" that my smart shaker was setup. Seriously spelled that way. Yes, typos happen but attention to detail is lacking.

Works for me every time (as long as I remember to keep it charged). I've never had connectivity issues. I appreciate the weather feature; it's a nice touch. The only improvement I would add is some interface button/graphic to let me know what intensity level the vibration is set at. There is one for sound, but it's not clear I'd that also gages the vibration intensity level. This would be helpful to add because the Smart Shaker 2 advertises that there are 3 levels of vibration intensity.

Worked awesome for a few werks, but then now it just intermittently doesn't stay connected. I will connect it via Bluetooth and it will say it's connected and then there is a 50/50 chance it may stay connected and work! Such a let down for be8ng initially so great.

I've been using the SmartShaker for a couple of weeks now and I'm impressed. There're a couple of things new users need to know. You only need to connect to the device using bluetooth to set up the alarms and check the device's battery charge. That done, turn off bluetooth on the phone/tablet/whatever and then turn off the device and then switch the device on again and it's all ready to go. This is important because leaving Bluetooth on will drain the phone's/tablet's/whatever's battery in no time. That and failing to set the alarm/s correctly is probably why others are experiencing problems. Once the alarm has gone off turn off the device until it is needed again then all you have to do is switch it on and it's ready to go. Check the device's battery charge every few days and all will be well.

No matter if you choose vibrate or sound, you still just get vibrate. Wasted an hour trying to get this thing to work. What's worse is it looses connection while you are sleeping so you get no alarm.

I could never get it to connect. I was almost late to work because the alarm didn't go off. I returned my iLuv and I won't be buying another one.

The app doesn't work at all unless you turn on location sharing. If I had known, I would have bought a different product from a different manufacturer.

This worked OK until Android 6.0.1, now the app won't connect to the shaker...or at least it doesn't indicate it's connected. Uninstalled and reloaded the app, now can't complete set-up. I liked it before, will again if it gets fixed!

App freezes before it can be configured. No way to use device without app. Iluv will not except returns for any open item.

What kind of alarm is that if it gets disconnected after I close phone cover. It alarms only by monitoring connection.

Working normally, its once set alarm no need to connect daily , just on switch , its working good

Doesnt keep connection, doesnt do both sound and vibration, doesnt offer levels of vibration. Hard to use.

Im having problems it not set but goes in the middle of the day. Very strange

Every time the SmartShaker device connects via Bluetooth, Spotify automatically launches on my phone and the device disconnects. Every time!

This app needs access to all your pictures, files, documents and location. Make sure you are ready to share your life with iluv and any one they share or sell it too. :-(

Neither of the 2 works. Apps & instructions, Customer Service suck. Really pissed about this. $50 down the drain.

Does not stay connected to app. Has worked one of seven times. :C

App is currently not working on 6.0.1. Can't click anything and the app crashes upon returning to the home screen. Will need to return the product if I cannot even use it...

Easy lost connection , no vibration together added with cellphone.

I think it is great. The sound portion for the smart shaker does not work though.

This is a review of both the shaker and the app, plus some recommendations. First, the UI is lovely. But, it doesn't seem to stay connected to the shaker. I have to be woken after the first 3 hours to take medication, so I have two alarms set: one at midnight or 1 am for vibrate, then a second at 5 am for vibrate and sound. When I look at the application, my midnight setting says "8 am," but when I tap to change it or ensure its midnight, it says midnight. Back to the main screen and it says 8 am. Cont'd.

How many hours does the battery last ,how can i get it to be a trusted device on an android when the infos based on apple, can I choose my sounds to waketo, what do the symbols e.g. green lightning and Greenleaf mean on the app. None of this information came with the package, instructions, and app. The app is only available for use on mobile devices, I had wanted to use my laptop. I cannot set to run outside of the use of a app.The app so far requires I leave the Bluetooth on on my phone it's less secure.

The previous app wasn't great, but the "updated" app is far worse. Although there are different sounds for the alarm, the app resets to "ringtone" once you click done. Also, the battery level is undependable. I wouldn't say this app is worthless as it does manage to perform some of the promised functions, but this so-called update is a definite step backwards. I say fix the app functionality before you try to make the interface fancier. This app needs more work.

Never synchs so smartshaker alarm doesn't update even though app is st correctly. Doesnt give any insication of battery life so doesnt go off once every 10 days or so. If you have nowhere important to be, this may suffice but if u hold down a real job you may be fired.

I needed something to vibrate my pillow so i'd know it was going off when my hearing aids weren't in. This app doesn't make its alarm set function accessible. IPhone version almost works so I kept the shaker. I waited over a year for a fix on android. In spite of the update, still inaccessible. Very unhappy. It wouldn't be impossible to get it fixed.

This device, though nice in theory is a piece of .... I have a brand new LG G5 and once downloaded the app freezes immediately upon opening. Will not setup at all. Have tried uninstalling, reinstalling multiple times. In that process it has drained my battery and requires Bluetooth to remain on at all times. As well as the location. Had to return the device to Amazon.

I got this from bed bath and beyond to see if it would wake me and it did. When I saw an update for it i jump to install it. I deeply regret doing the update. Please fix this soon or it was a waste of money and time

The app will not save different ring tones to the shaker. Being this is the only app for the device......sort of pointless

Waste of money and time! Everytime you set an alarm the smartshaker, by the next morning it goes into Power Saving Mode and disconnects so it never even goes off to wakes you up! Very disappointed
