Auto & NFC WoL for Android
Searched a lot for one that has proximity wake, strangely there aren't many, and those that are don't work, except this one
I love it because of the NFC write option to tag. But for first time it may be little hard for who don't know how to set a network without instructions. Like how to find IPv4 , or that MAC and Phyisical Address is the same thing. A little Guide will be useful and helpful, but after you succeeded it works great
Its just what I was looking for. Works almost perfect. Sometimes it sens wol while its connected to wifi....but that dose not bother me.
I would like it if I could wake, my chromecast also
Ui is a bit odd
Well, I tried this because I would like to have a WOL sent to my NAS when I get home from work, but sadly this app does not list my SSID. You cannot enter it and it is supposed to just auto-magically list WiFi available and sadly NONE appear, so it does not work. Interface is confusing and just know that you have to hold a LONG press to be able to delete and edit, but would be easier if they just added a menu. Anyway, you need to add a schedule like DAY, TIME, etc as well as WiFi detection, but uninstalling and this needs a lot more work, so good luck. Finally, you should be able to change the icon based on the type of device you are programming the WOL for to make it slicker.
Works
Just donloaded the app and it works for my needs. Could not give it 5 stars since it has some minor bugs. But its perfect for me!
Thums up
I am using the App with my computer at home. For the IP address of the device (my computer) I used the broadcast address to avoid troublesome configurations of my router (a standard device of KabelDeutschland the configurations of which I prefer to ignore). It would be nice to have options for setting the time interval of the day when the packets are sent. Maybe in a future version? :) Keep up the good work!
Nice!
Excellent app. Works perfect
Its a simple WoL app. I like the rule feature. I use it with Llama and it works really good
