About iDKA
iDKA is a free Mobile App for the management of Diabetic Ketoacidosis (or DKA) in adults ( > 18 years). This App is based on clinical guidelines followed at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, UK.
iDKA is intended to help medical practitioners and other health professionals in managing patients with Diabetic Keto Acidosis (or DKA). This App is also a handy educational tool for medical students and junior doctors involved in the management of DKA.
The key objectives of iDKA are -
•Improved quality of care and safety of patients with DKA
•Better and timely management of DKA with features enabling identifying high risk patients
•Education and training by reinforcing the frequent monitoring and test required in managing patients with DKA
•Provide step wise precise guidance for doctors on insulin dosing, fluid and electrolyte monitoring
•Cost saving by reducing length of patient stay in hospitals
