Turned an unused Raspberry Pi into a network monitoring agent. Easy to setup. Good app. Reasonable price.

Disappointing I had the Domotz agent, or monitoring application, installed on my Synology nas, expecting that I could remotely monitor at least part of my network. This worked for three days. After a restart of the nas the Domotz agent, or monitoring application, in the nas locked itself and didn't monitor or report anything. The support team said they'd look into it, maybe they will. I haven't heard from them. Summarised: failed experiment, uninstall all domotz apps and forget about it. Oh, while it worked the reports looked impressive.... All three days. After that there was no useful report anymore. The entire Domotz system sat useless in a corner of the memory and kept itself locked for the remainder of the license validity period (about ten days).

Daily driver for network management! Very impressed with this app! I use it to keep an eye on my network and use the custom alerts to know when my family members get home and they join the wifi here. Very, very helpful! I couldn't wait to try fingbox, mine won't be here till late June, so I figured I would give this a shot instead... Since installing this on an old raspberry pi, I have quit using Fing all together - or at least until my FingBox comes. I highly recommend using this app! This app has been one of the most valuable elements of my administrative arsenal - plus, clients LOVE this software. Even the least of the tech savvy of people can use domotz and understand it.

I installed the agent on a raspberry pi 3b and it's super useful and super easy to use. Kudo's to Domotz on a slick, well produced tool. Cheers!

Displays monitoring data from Domotz agents running on Raspberry Pi and Synology NAS. Scrolling can be a bit slow if there are hundreds of devices on a network (in which case the web app performs better). Great for receiving and checking alerts on the go.

no support for connecting to the community app on synology - even after creating account. synology only offers community, not pro, for my box and this app won't let me connect to that instance. boooo!

Domotz Pro is my go-to tool for monitoring networks. The agent does a great job of identifying all devices on the network and sending me alerts if they are off-line. The ability to remote into any device on the network is incredibly useful when I'm troubleshooting a problem or need to adjust a setting. The Domotz team is always very responsive to any request for support and jumps in when appropriate on their user forum. IMPORTANT-The app will only work with a Domotz agent running on the network you want to monitor. Please see their web site for information on setting an agent on a NAS, Raspberry Pi, or their Domotz Box.

This is quickly becoming one of those... "Why did I wait so long to start using this?" I design and implement networks for homes and business. I have done a lot in the back ground to mitigate outages. Using good gear and Web Smart Switches has allowed systems to run and self correct for months too years. The addition of domotz now alerts us before the customer even knows there is a problem. This really cuts down on the "getting blindsided by calls." Plus we can see right in the app what's up or down. 5.

Not yet supported on Synology's SRM platform yet, I'd like to try this out, would be nice if they had a live demo available someplace.

I really like this, unfortunately I can't see myself signing up to use it after the 1 month is up. If it was £1 per month, or even a £12 for the year option, I would use it. Interface is great and lots of handy features like WOL.

This is my new favourite App. Use it to monitor a home network but many use it commercially. Designed for remote technical support. It will ONLY work in conjunction with a small device called an "Agent", in my case a Raspberry Pi which must to be permanently connected to your home network. The Agent communicates with the App. If just about anything goes wrong with your home network: e.g. internet connection goes offline, or any device problem e.g. printer, router or security camera goes offline then the "Agent" sends a message to the App which instantly alerts you on your mobile phone. If someone plugs something new into your network it tells you instantly. I also use it to monitory my NAS and Plex servers. My Plex server is not the most reliable. You can remotely check internet connection speed and monitor the performance of your Telco. I have found the graph of internet speed connection to be VERY useful for Telco disputes. Remotely connect to your home PC's and devices without the complexity of setting up VPN's. The Raspberry Pi cost me $50 and took an hour to setup or you can buy a pre-configured agent. Well worth €2.99 per month ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

In the device list, try to scroll down to see more items, if my finger moved horizontal just a little bit, it will lock in horizontal scroll and won't scroll down. This will behaviourEr Will happen after your click on an item to see its detail them return back to the list and try to scroll down the list.

The app gives me almost everything that I need to get the most out of my Domotz Pro Box. The app has a clean UI with great functionality. I would like to see a more customizable dashboard and the ability to create custom groups and edit or hide device information. Otherwise I look forward to future updates.

This has a lot of potential. However, the Agent not being able to scan Layer 3 devices (clients connected to Access Points/Extenders) and the fact that the Agent on NAS's don't auto update or even notify a new version is available are deal breakers at this time.
