Dolly: On-Demand Local Movers

What a cool app! I don't have any local friends to help us move stuff, so this was a real lifesaver. All said it was less expensive than just a truck rental, and we had someone to help with the lifting! Will definitely recommend the app and our helper.

Little pricey but gets the job done

Lifesaver. Realized at noon I needed to move something by 6pm. Installed the app, made a request, and at 5pm the job is done!

I use this often and have always had professional service. Cheaper and quicker then hiring from moving company.

I'm giving this app 4 stars due to the app being a bit buggy, but overall the move was a good experience for me. Let me break down my review: PROS: * Even though my first helper cancelled 10 hrs before the move, I got matched with another helper under an hour. (In Seattle) * Helpers were respectful, practical and professional in their move. * They actually arrived 15 mins earlier than the prearranged timeframe. * The house I was moving from had a slightly steep curb, but they managed to work around it (literally). They earned a larger tip from me for that. CONS: * The app is a bit buggy. On android, if you switch in between apps while you're adding items to your dolly, it loses tracks of those items and gives you a "Couldn't find data" error if you try to complete creating a dolly. This happened to me twice, and frustrated me. Could have stopped using the app there, but decided to give the app a 3rd chance. CONCLUSION: If the app wasn't as buggy, I would have given it 5 stars. I could definitely understand why some people felt frustrated. Overall, I would recommend the app. Made my move easier.

Couldn't even get the app to take my first request. I get a "Whoops, couldn't find data." error, and I can't do anything else.

Well I scheduled a dolly 1 week ago and paid 70 dollars for 1 mattress half box spring and 1 dresser. The helpers never showed up. Not even I'm running text nothing I. Was forced to cancel .and complained to the company by email they write back saying that there drivers have a 30 min window for traffic and get a charge for 14 dollars only. Oh I guess that makes me feel alot better how about no charging at all if you helpers are late. There late they should be accountable for it. I called customer service and of course they said I Credit with 14 dollars for only 3 months

Terrible service and deceitful practices!! You can't pick your person. ANYBODY could just take your post and you're charged cancellation fee even if the person has a small truck or has no ratings/prior experience doing this. I'm NEVER EVER using this service again!

Can't be beat!! I needed a micro-move of a few furniture items (bed, night stands, table, chairs, etc.). I am recovering from an accident so can't lift/carry stuff on my own. I could have drafted friends with a truck, but rather than imposing on them, I went with Dolly and it was great. The app is super easy to use, and after I entered my Dolly request I received confirmation of someone willing to assist me within five minutes. This was great peace of mind, knowing that Dolly would take care of the heavy lifting for me. Dolly helpers arrived early, worked quickly & carefully, were polite & professional, and brought moving gear along just in case (blankets, wrapping plastic, tools, tape, etc.). Once my micro-move was complete, it was super easy to add a big tip and complete the transaction. All-in-all, I am very pleased with the service, and would definitely recommend it to friends & family.

App doesn't let me choose the size of truck needed. I posted a small move and it got accepted by a person with a tiny truck. When I was instructed to cancel the Dolly and repost it the exact same guy accepted it again even though I messaged him telling him I need a bigger truck. On top of that Dolly charged me $15 for canceling the Dolly order!

I used the app today for a small move, and while my movers were great and I thought the experience went well, I just discovered that the app charged my bank account *three times.* It's just a fluke that there was enough in my account to avoid overdraft charges, but as it is, I'm left with an empty bank account until Dolly rectifies this gigantic error. Looks like I won't be recommending or reusing the app like I thought- getting charged $352 instead of $132 is a pretty serious screwup.

Great app, but it keeps advertising offers to me with my notifications. This is not what notifications are for. Uninstalled.

Ease of use doesn't make up for extreme cost - I tried to schedule a mattress pickup, at most a 30-minute job, and saw a $109 quote. No thanks. (Post reply: This was a four-mile trip with no helpers).

Website allowed me to use some features, but no obvious way to complete the order. Was forced to install application to finish up the order. Everything else was successful.

Great experience. Thanks to Shad and his crew! Everything was easy and legit. Will definitely use again.

GREAT way to get your Christmas tree...I will recommend Dolly to all of my friends!!

Posted an item 4 days ago, has been accepted by 3 different people and cancelled 3 times, the last cancellation at 4am on the morning before the item is to be moved. Now we are left scrambling to find an alternative. Not reliable at all.

Unless you're in the middle of the city, don't bother. That suburban craigslist sofa you were hoping to score? Not gonna happen.

This app is super easy to use & my helper was great to work with. I will definitely keep this app for future needs.

This app was recommended to me by my local Goodwill, when I wanted to donate a sofa. What a great service! I was so impressed with how easy it was to use, the reasonable price quoted, and the people who showed up at my door. An excellent experience, and I will definitely use them again.

I have difficulty with my legs and our home has lots of stairs.thanks to dolly I can easily find movers to help with small tasks like bringing cabinets up and down.

Entire experience was top rate. Using app was easy, helper was assigned within 30 minutes for the next day, and was great! He arrived on time and moved fragiles items carefully faster than I thought it would take. I will definitely recommend Dolly to friends!

I tried the option to have a Christmas tree delivered, and it wouldn't let me select a tree. I tapped and tapped and tapped and it never selected a tree.
