BBL

Bangsamoro Basic Law (House Bill 4994) drafted by the Bangsamoro Transition Commission is a fruit of the 17-year old peace negotiation between the Government of the Philippines (GPH) and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). This law was crafted anchored on 1.) Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro (FAB) signed on October 15, 2012 in the Rizal Ceremonial Hall of Malacañan Palace in Manila, Philippines; 2.) Comprehensive Agreement on the Bagsamoro (CAB) signed on March 27, 2014 in Malacañan Palace in Manila.

Prior to the drafting of this document, several community consultations were conducted in different areas of the country. Results of these consultation were included the draft Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL).
