Boston Herald for Android
If you can't grab the paper this is a good replacement!
I'd rather read the print version but sometimes that's not possible!
Easy to use, doesn't require a subscription like some of the other Boston papers, and is up to date.
Always my favorite paper, now they've made the app just as good, great writers with news that matters.
Love this app,I moved to Illinois for a couple of years and it's great to get some hometown news
Gives me news I want
App does a good job of keeping me informed.
I love my hometown newspaper
Great app
It's good to get another perspective on the news, including the wacky right-wing nuts who write columns (talking to you, Howie Carr). The ads are much less intrusive in this version.
Hands-down the best newspaper app out there. Easy to use. Deep and detailed. No, not my favourite paper by any means, but still the best app. of its kind. I recommend it.
The layout is clear and crisp; it's the ONLY Boston newspaper site that's balanced and complete, all the time. Thanks, guys! Still doing it great every day!
I enjoy the Herald as it is not a totally biased news source.
App crashes a lot on Android 7.1.1
Very informative, immensely accurate.
This app is awesome..... Runs smoothly .......amd great news
Could do better
No subscription needed.
One of three apps I start the day with.
Best news in Boston!
This app is sweet for because I grew up in Boston and it allows me to keep up-to-date on what is happening in my most beloved American city. My only issue with the app is some contents are inaccessible. Other than that, good job.
lousy presentation, mediocre web site, blatantly biased presentation. No overall attempt at balanced news, especially the commentary. Nothing has changed since my last notation. 11/29/15.
Font adjustment doesn't work on tablet with last two updates. Font is too small to read comfortably, clicking on larger font does nothing.
Could be made easier to navigate
This used to be my go-to news app- well-organized, great presentation, highly functional/reliable. But now it's useless thanks to a pop-up ad for Lyft that is impossible to get rid of (keeps immediately popping back up every time you "x" out of it). This has been happening for weeks now- FIX THE GODDAM THING!!
X may mark the spot, but it doesn't kill the ad that covers the whole page. Make it go away!
ads have ruined it. Can't ever read the articles. Will use the web to read it. DON'T BOTHER INSTALLING.
Easy to navigate and find the type of news I'm looking for. I used to use the channel 5 app till they ruined it. This is a much better news app.
Love the paper but the ads are ruining the app. They pop up over and over and you can't exit them. So frustrating
The new ads keep coming back after you click on the X or even wait for them to finish playing. Today after the lyft add is done a new add pops up and won't close.
Ads pop up over and over and over again. I will stop reading articles and download "The Globe" if this isn't fixed. I also will never ever use Lyft and tell everyone I see and meet to not use it as well. Thus is ridiculous.
Ads pop up in the middle of stories and you can't turn off some of them. Don't bother with this app
Has almost everything you need in one app. News, sports, weather, all wrapped up in one.
Lyft ad is intrusive and impossible to close.
Balanced news and great sports coverage! Keep up the great work.
Lyft app comes on and covers page...can't remove
The Herald is the very first thing I do on my phone every morning with my coffee. It gives me discussion topics and opinions to converse about during the day.
We all need to start getting along and stop shooting and killing people this is getting way too far out of control everybody please get your face out of your phones say hi to one another say good morning so good afternoon and hold the door for people come on let's get this straight before we all just crumble
Living now in Florida (retired) I like to keep in touch with news of the real world. Not from this 3rd. world state.

Let's face it, it's a tabloid, generally focused on the more lurid stories of the day. But I like to know what's going on in Boston, cuz my grandfather was from Cambridge, & attended BC & Harvard Med School.
