re.*(Renamer) for Android
Slightly complicated but Nice app, helps you to rename multiple files in single step.. specially ( .Chk ) file to whatever you want..
Unclear GUI.
Doesn't see sdcard, Samsung Galaxy S7
Very easy to use if you understand regex.
If you understand regexes you'll love it. If you don't you'll hate it.
A Great Time Saver!
So Good!

Layout is very foreign to a novice like myself. Need expert knowledge to use this app
It works perfectly, unlike most of the other rename apps. Warning to others reading this review: I am very comfortable with regular expression syntax, if you are not or can't be bothered to learn, then your opinion of this app will differ. As for me.. I love it.
Functions as advertised. Not targeted toward technical novices.
Simple, clean interface. Awesome job
Does extensions...
Did the job perfectly
Best app
Stupid
eg. Simple test - prefix with zero: src: "^(.*)" (without quotes) dest: "0$1" (without quotes). Preview shows prefixed names for files in current folder but not folders. Haven't tried whether it actually renames on the sdcard.
this application is not user friendly. As in its unusable. I navigated to the files I wanted to change, once I found my files to rename, I was unable to do anything with them. Not even highlight them or open them, nothing. Uninstalled
Add option to rename a single file rather than all of them.
Works perfectly. Would be nice to skip already existing files rather than just not rename any of them.
Removed via replacement |and : and ? from downloaded file names. No regex required.
Worked perfectly
Really?
very difficult to understand .
Great app. Needs minor improvements though. Perhaps allowing the user to have a default and group of favorite folders. Editing, deleting or giving titles to the saved replaces would be nice. Also maybe allowing people to tick a selection of regexpreplaces to do several all at one go.
Dev is upfront about the difficulty and danger inherent in such a powerful and flexible utility. This is not an implementation flaw but rather the nature of regex complexity and concinsion of the ui. With power comes responsibility. I do wish I could pay for an ad-free version, but I'm not going to complain about free.
Does one thing, and does that one thing VERY WELL. The author says the tool does not have a friendly interface. I think otherwise. The tool is so basic, its interface could not be easier. It never crashes, again because its so basic,. A simple program is easy to keep bug-free. I been using it since Android 2.2, and I can't remember seeing an update before. I use it to change the useless img_ names from cameras, to useful names like New York City, it's perfect for that type of thing.
It works perfectly, unlike most of the other rename apps. Warning to others reading this review: I am very comfortable with regular expression syntax, if you are not or can't be bothered to learn, then your opinion of this app will differ. As for me.. I love it.
excellent app. simple, brutal, smart. no frills, just muscle. I wish this could work over network.
Need to learn programming first for that :(
Works as advertised. Thank you, makes life much simpler. EDITED: Dropped to 1 star (from 5): Love the app, really hate ads. Please make a no-ads version! I've uninstalled, but will keep checking back.
Perfect for getting rid of the .temp files showbox produces
As mentioned its not user friendly so its hard to aquire and handle its functions . But with some effort it do me what i want so I'm satisfied
This is the worst app I have ever seen as far as power drain goes. I'm talking 20% in like 10 minutes... Big fat uninstall!
This apparently isn't for everyone but if you are familiar with regular expressions it can be very useful and powerful.
Poor design. Working is hard to understand. Not user friendly at all.
Made my life easier
