HEOS

Not able to use playlists from my deezerplaylists account at all, thank god it have a Bluetooth connection at least but the hero's speaker have a big audio level contributor problem, it go in very big steps so but even that works okay, only good thing about hero's is that the sound is great... When it works. Don't understand why the aux input is not the default main input though, why do you need the app to be able to even make the aux input to operate at all???

06/04/17 Still having the same issues a year later.. Awful app and hardware updates.. 2016 I open the app and my living room sound bar is not there. I have to Reconnect the power on the soundbar to get the devise to show up on my app. And/Or completely close the app. Sometimes the soundbar will stop playing sound while listening to something. I have to reconnect the power and close the app to get it to function properly. :/

Great update but needs more work. Sharing music from computer is good option but kind of complicated. I can imagine how difficult can be for those who are not experts with computer knowledge. Synchronization with Spotify is not always exact. Otherwise congratulations, nice job but don't stop working on it...

I was asked to review this, so I am obliging the request, I am not volunteering my opinion. It is about forty percent complete, slow, crashes, fails to find speakers, not enough features. Better than sonos? Yes, as denon offers me the features I needed from a hardware point of view. But needs a heck of a lot of work this app, barely up to standard.

This is the worst app I have ever used. Constantly crashes, even the report a problem button sends an error message. For the cost of the product you'd think a little bit more time and attention would be given to the app.

App works great for me. Pandora is a dream. Look forward to better integration with my local music library stored on NAS. Right now the only option is to use DLNA which is not as smooth. Please create a desktop app for windows. Look forward to improvements. Thanks!

App works but UI is terrible. Would much rather use my Heos products from other apps like Pandora or tidal.

When it works its great. Only had issues when it was in its first year. Now its great and havnt had an issue since

Returning the sound bar. The app keeps losing my devices and is extremely glitchy. The sound it definitely 2.1 and unsatisfied with the price paid.

If the app could use youtube, it would be great because most of the apps that you can use with the system are paid apps

HEOS is the best! Super easy setup and use. Does everything I want.

I had a single heos1 speaker and it seemed to work fine. I added another one 6 months later and had nothing but problems. Grouping is a nightmare, speaker keeps dropping out constantly. Stereo paring intermittent. I'm not sure if the app or the hardware but heos1 is overpriced for what you get. I am pleased with the recent firmware upgrade since you can switch off the Heos1 when connected to the battery pack a lot easier so I've added 1 extra star.

I switched my whole system to HEOS from Sonos. I use Control 4, Sonos started to limit integration. I really like HEOS so far. BUT! There seems to be a huge problem with joining and leaving zones. The Soundbar gets stuck in optical and won't switch back to a music services quite often. I hope to see some more music services like Apple and Google Play. Also some basic features like crossfade and alarm would be awesome! Hoping for a new update real soon!!!

Very happy with the performance of this app. It's a clean design that's easy to navigate most of the time. It does a good job standardizing the experience regardless of the music source but allowing for some music service features to show up. I'd like to see the settings icon on the home screen, EQ settings for Mids, and to bring in more features from the service providers. I'd also like it to be clear what quality the current stream is or can be set at. Right now it's a mystery. That's the biggest gap. April 11, 2017 - can't believe waited 5 months for so little. Extremely disappointed.

It does work. Had few stability problems when within the app. The background service with notification drawer volume control stops way to often, would like it to be more "automagic". Could have nicer UI. Missing ability to have one device in multiple groups so I easily can select which devices to stream to.

I have had so many probs with this app and the whole heos system. The speakers disappear from the interface and i have to link them up again. Sometimes doesnt work. The music also has quite frequent dropouts and the app skips that track entirely. V unhappy with it all. Feel like i have wasted my money on this system. On paper it looks great and when it's working, but its not reliable.

Previous version of the app seemed to be more reliable... Now my speakers are dropping at times and this is frustrating. I'm very happy with sound quality, but hope Heos will improve on the playback stability.

Been using this HEOS app over 1 year with HEOS1 speakers throughout house and my Denon avr-6400H. Does everything I need with intuitive interface and little effort. Highly recommend!

I like the app and love the equipment (cinema, 7, 3 and a pair of 1's) but still disappointed that the Amazon Music source is not supported in the UK.... Yes it is possible to Bluetooth to a device running it, but full support would be much better. I've contacted Denon multiple times who keep saying that they're working on it, and it's the same API as is used in the US, so why so long ........

Some days it works flawlessly and others it crashes constantly to the point that I get crash notifications while submitting the crash report from the previous crash mere seconds before, this will happen several times in a row. All hardwired on an enterprise grade network.

After the last update the EQ is resetting each time I turn off the app, so if I lower the bass, it goes back to default level. It looks like it's in the position I set it, but the bass reverts back to the default level on my heos 7 hs2, super annoying :/

I'm so sick of this software. I bought a massive Heos setup back when it first came out. With this latest update, I'm constantly having the speakers cut out. I don't know if it's a compatibility issue between the Series 1 and 2 or what. Fix it!

Speaker's Bluetooth connection goes silent frequently, forcing me to dis/reconnect. App itself is clunky, not overly helpful, and very slow. For the price of the speaker, you'd think it would work better.

Heos have just stopped access to streaming stations like stadje polka saying it doesn't stream. Second, every time I come to use the heos it often sticks in demo mode. Disappointing to say the least.

Very basic functionality and lacks proper back navigation. When app has been opened and device was taken out of WiFi range, then brought back, it tries to reconnect to WiFi but always get stuck and never reconnects, the app needs to be force closed and restarted.

Has been a constant miserable headache since day one. This soundbar was the worst $800 I've ever spent and I'm done struggling against it. Sending it back to Best buy tomorrow.

the app software is bullshit: somtimes it "cant connect to the heos-server". The other day soundcloud isnt available, and somtimes during playback the connection over wifi breaks down and i have to restart all speakers to continue listening...

The app along the bar is the most awkward and non reliable system. Stops working and so hard to fix. Frustrating.

I don't know why there isn't a sleep option available. I will rate it as a 5-star app when they understand that the sleep function is mandatory for that kind of app.

App is always crashing. Have to uninstall/reinstall. Now it deleted all my devices. Piece if crap!

Probably one of the best interfaces I've experienced. I've had four different brand of streaming speakers and HEOS is the one I'm most fond of.

The latest version seems to be causing significant battery drain (10% without playing music), regular crashes and occasionally causes the whole phone to restart (Samsung S7 Edge).

This thing is awful. Rooms disappear, it doesn't do what I want it to do - play TV sound in another part of the apartment, play Pandora without glitching constantly. I would not recommend at all.
