Takes forever to load and crash every time I used it.

Full of bugs, slow, illogical, useless for anything beyond basic basic functions

Does anyone from Marantz read these reviews? I have had a NA6005 network player for some time now and I love it. This app, when working, is great, but it seldom does. I have experienced most of the problems other people have had. Cannot believe it is still so awful after all this time. I'll be forced to move to another manufacturer if nothing changes soon. How do they think this is acceptable?

Far too flaky to use. Reinstall makes it no better. Absolutely pants. Just glad I didn't have to pay for it. Doesn't seem to have been properly tested in the real world. And marantz support is about as mush use. Submitted a problem 5 days ago and was promised a reply in 2 days. Yeah right. :(

Functionality looks ok, but slow and too flaky so am considering returning my otherwise fine M-CR611. Why oh why did Logitech stop producing their infinitely superior system?!

Although why the station and track name have to start in the centre of the screen and then be truncated without any scroll option using the M-CR611 beats me. Landscape mode not working on Galaxy S6 Edge so there is no way to know the complete line. The is a bug in the main hifi firmware that causes the app. to crash on load about once per month. The only way around this is to unplug the hifi and re-power it. In fact we are told to do that instead of Marantz fixing the problem.

Shame on Marantz! I can't believe that you are not capable to produce quality app for your equipment. This app is below any comments. Do not forget that people like me invest money in your equipment! I have PM 8005 and NA 6005, that cost me new in store in Croatia around 1.300,00 euro. Than when I came home and connect all I saw that this shitt application is my only way to use this. Disaster!

App keeps losing connection to MCR611 and now says the power is off to the unit while I'm playing a CD. When it works it is OK, but that is less often than when it doesn't! And no amount of rebooting my tablet helps. UPDATE - I have just spent the last half hour uninstalling and reboot and installing this app and it is stuck on the power off screen. I have turned the unit off to match the screen and it won't turn on the unit. I have also reset the WiFi connection to no avail.

Very slow to react and hangs a lot. Only use it for finding internet radio stations. Using the remote is easier for everything else. Fortunately can use Spotify Connect for Spotify control.

App used to work perfectly but has stopped functioning. All troubleshooting advice hasn't helped. Tried reinstalling to no avail, installed the app on my work phone - same problem. Very disappointing.

Don't even try to install it. Waste of time. It is slowest app I ever installed. Crushes all the time. If you bought Marantz product too bad ( I made that mistake) just warning you. They don't care about this app

Easily the most frustrating, ineptly designed app I've ever used. It makes the NA6005 useless. Every time I want to listen to music, I open the app and try to find my network access server, which is where I store my 1,400 albums. It doesn't appear. I wait and hit refresh. It doesn't appear. And so literally every time I want to listen to music, I have to reboot my phone (Samsung S6, but the exact same thing occurs when I run the app on my iPad) and reopen the app. Even then, eight times out of ten, my server doesn't appear. And so I have to select internet radio and play a couple of stations. For whatever reason, that usually makes my server appear. That usually fixes things, sort of. Once I'm into the server on the app, I select whatever album or playlist I want to listen to. I start playing it. And two or three songs later, the music goes dead. It just stops. So I have to go back into the app and select a different song. And if I'm lucky, it plays for another few minutes. Solution: I don't really listen to my music any more. Have tried everything to fix it. There's no support. No updates to the app. Marantz doesn't seem to care.

When it works, this app is fine, nothing special but it allows me to access Internet radio and the music on my NAS easily. Unfortunately it's not working now and hasn't for a few days. The MCR611 is pretty much perfect, but this app let's it down badly - please sort it out Marantz, how hard can it be to just make it work reliably...????

I love my Marantz M-CR611, but this app is tainting it for me. If a smaller developer can produce a generic app for Marantz and Denon, why is Marantz incapable of producing a working app for their own product? I can see the potential in this app - I'm not asking for more features or functionality. Just that it works. Please, please, please fix / update so that I can enjoy the full potential of my stereo. *UPDATE: App got progressively worse and unresponsive, as are Marantz who haven't answered my email.

Keeps stopping. Interface is far from intuitive. Come on Marantz, this spoils the otherwise very good M-CR 511. Oh, and it stops playing the queued music after three or four tracks. Almost entirely useless.

Total garbage just won't work reliably. Makes a very expensive hi fi unit a waste of space. No response from Maranrz.

Used to work, now it only ever crashes on startup. Such a brand experience killer...

Truly awful! Have used Marantz for many, many years, great hifi products but woeful app in this day and age. When it works, it is OK, does the job but more times than not it can't find my receiver on my home network. Given its low rating over such a long time, seems Marantz don't care either which is very sad given their alleged status in the hi-fi / av market.

Although the concept and functionality of this app is interesting, but it keeps crashing again and again, even causing the Marantz device itself to be unresponsive.

Reviews from other users are pretty damning towards this app but in the 2 months that I have been using for my Marantz M-CR611 I have found it to work almost flawlessly. Highly recommended

Unstable! The hardware is great, but this app freezes regularly. Have uninstalled/reinstalled many times. Really needs a rewrite/update!

Changing from iPhone to Android I can no longer play music directly from my phone or from YouTube. I have to go through music files through the app to play any music at all. Utterly useless. WHERE IS THE YOUTUBE FEATURE ETC?!

This is one buggy app. Force closes and is awful when interfaced with Spotify. Really disappointed. Samsung galaxy s7 with mcr610 Please sort it out! This has been like this for the 2 years I've had the system

Queue stops playing mid list. Playlists only play for around three tracks then hangs until you manually select the next track. Very poor. Had app for a while and no updates have been apparent from app store. Very poor.

Crap. Works on occasion but massively unreliable. Disappointing as I wanted to use the app to control zone 2 remotely

Not sure if I am just lucky but the app works perfectly for me. Nicely designed and gives easy control of my Marantz receiver

Very disappointed with this app. It's the main way to control the cr611 amp and therefore when it won't load on any of your devices, which is most of the time, you'll be left with very little options to accessing your music. Very frustrating. I have tried reinstalling that app, sending crash reports and everything else I can think of, but still can't access my music. Boo to this.

Decent app but when trying to play an album stops after first song. Also would love to see the bitrate for radio stations and music files

Squirrelly as Hell. The company doesn't spend much time improving either their firmware or software.

This app works some of the time on my Samsung Note 4 and Marantz MCR611 but I have to repeatedly reboot the phone to maintain the connection. Needs a lot of work!

Very slow. Often can not recognize the main unit in the network. Not reliable at all!

Previously used it with MCR611 and it was great, but now completely stopped working, crashes every single time. Seems other users are finding the same, I wouldn't bother with this app

Very flaky. Despite using a fixed IP for the stereo, the app still loses its connection. It's OK when it works but you simply can't rely on it.

Using the app to play an album, always stops after 3 or 4 songs. (also tried on an iphone). Only way to play more songs is to use the remote, which is a bit cumbersome. Update solved nothing still stops after three songs.

Badly laid out. Poorly implemented. Not intuitive. Could do so much better and provide an enjoyable user experience of my very functional and impressive m-cr611. Update: now crashes on startup even when cache and data cleared and reinstall.

This thing is entirely unreliable. Often it fails to detect the hifi. Other times it randomly drops the connection for no reason. It's a shame because it looks nice and is actually useful when it works.

Absolutely useless, worked for about 20 minutes on the first day and not at all since. Shows my MCR 611 as available but just won't connect to it. Uninstalled and given up with it. Rubbish!!!!

Just cycles through lists (playlists/album lists) constantly making it impossible to choose the one you want. Who tests this stuff?

Don't bother - constantly reboots or drops the connection. Needs significant improvements
