JB4 Mobile

This new update suck..app lost all my configuration file.. Now all I see is my log file when I try to load configuration setting..

App needs some work. New version looks good and choosing maps much improved. Often fails to connect first few times. GPS speed is unreliable and often freezes. No option to have speed in mph at the same time as temps in Centigrade. The oil temp doesn't work. App also shuts off if connected to Android Auto and lights switch on or off (auto lights). VAG version.

Over all I like it. Every once in a while it has the serial port issue, but when that happens there seems to be an update out and that fixes it.

Im changing phone. Does that mean i have to pay again?

App seems pretty solid, gauges are very responsive. Bluetooth eorks great. Wish threshold alarms could be set though so you can feel comfortable not looking at the screen all the time. One thing that is beyond annoying is having to constantly connect to the Internet to verify the account. Can't this just be done one time?

Let's start with the good: (I) it connects fast with OTG cable, (II) the display is extremely fast, (III) the user interface is good. Now the bad: (I) it has bugs, crashes 5/10 times, (II) crashes my phine after selecting the needle gauges, (III) for $27 all the features should be good and minimum to no bugs. Even further, for $27 you should be able to create your own gauges and be able to customize the dashboard just like the torque app. I regret paying for it, but I keep telling myself that I can log with no tablet, but I now I added another thing to my routine (charging my android device).

Works flawlessly with the otg cable on my Xperia Z1, but refuses to work with my One plus 3 , which is my primary phone ( Xperia is slowly dying). I've used the original one plus 3 otg cable, but it keeps displaying " serial port not available" and the one plus is auto otg enabled. Ok, so figured it out , one has to connect the otg to the phone first and then plug in the usb from the jb4 , it will detect and auto connect. Works flawlessly...

Needs to be updated. Doesn't show 7 and 8th gears on an 8th speed, it'll detect 8 gears, but doesn't know when I hit them. Tapping map gauge should allow to change maps quickly. Also has problems connecting on Galaxy S8, specially when streaming music through bluetooth, should work cause bluetooth 5 allows multiple connections. Should also have a 0-60 timer and other features to make it worth all that much

So far, the app has been wonderful. I love being able to change my user adjustment settings on the fly. The gauges are very helpful, watching IATs and such. Loving the app. I use the Rev 3 Bluetooth connect kit with my JB4 on a mk7 gti, the tablet is a Nexus 7 (2013). It connects instantly upon opening the app (this is a great setting), and has never lost the Bluetooth handshake since I've owned it. Nothing but great things to say about the JB4 app, and appreciate that the developer is constantly trying to make it better. Can't wait for 0-60 integration as well as some more customization of the gauges. 5 stars in my book, worth every penny. I have family share and my brother also uses the app, and he's comin from using JB4 software with his JB4 and N54, and he loves the app as well. It has pretty much everything that the windows software does, and again, worth every penny.

Absolutely superb!!!! Works great with my 2 in 1 tablet. It's the best software to use if you have a JB4'd BMW. For others if your app keeps crashing, make sure you have enough memory to run the app along with your device used!

Works well - connects via Bluetooth to the jb4. Split screen mode supported with Waze on a Galaxy S7 edge makes for an awesome setup

This would have 4 stars but the recent update making it a requirement to have internet connection ruined it for me. I used an old phone with no service for this and my main phone for music. Change this please or make it optional!!

Jb4 is a Total Fail for the 2018 BMW M2. I bought this and was not told not posted anywhere that you cannot even use the bc button inside the car. You have to purchase a cable or blue tooth module along with the jb4 app. Also there are only 2 working maps foe the new m2 and trying map 2 it shut my car down into Limp Mode. Do not waste your money on the jb4, wait for the MHD Flash. Stay away from BM3 Flash because you will lose your warranty when they unlock your ecm..

great app..is there any beta versions that has more features than the official one?

I struggled to find a OTG cable that works but eventually found 1. App seems to be user friendly. So much better than carrying my laptop with. Please list all compatible devices as I found out that my Samsung Tab 4 was not compatible due to it not supporting an OTG cable

If i didn't have these issues I would rate better, but not sure it would hit the 5 mark with me. The cost vs the benefits don't add up with me yet. The connection is my issue.. it takes way to much of my time to get my galaxy S5 to connect to the blutooth that is within 3 feet or en so, of center console, Sometimes it's 5 to 8 times im reloading app to get "Bluetooth Handshake". I have never got the bluetooth to connect on the first try. Also, The cost of bluetooth and app is way, way overpriced.. wish I had done a PC cable through the passenger's side vent and run a hook up for laptop at passenger footwell.. That money saved could be used on other engine MODS

Gear maxes out at 6. I have an 8 speed AT. Also, boost is not accurate. Would be nice if boos showed total boost. 2016 340i MSport - B58

Eventually got it working with the Note 7, unfortunately I had to swap it for a Pixel XL, and now the pixel XL won't connect. I bought a separate otg cable for testing and it still is unable to connect. Any advice?

App works great. So much better than having to deal with a laptop. I just wish it had all of the iOS features. I see apple guys are able to name and save maps. Will this become available?

Have been trying to connect for 10 minutes now, keeps saying 'serial port not not available' I haven't changed anything, very frustrating.

When are the new JB4 features going to be available thru this app? It's been several weeks since New WMI, PI, and E85 options were added to the JB4 but these are still not yet on the menu thru this App. Please update......

Using it with the USB cable on a Moto G5. Had issues with previous phone and support was quick and persistent.

Everything is working great except viewing a log graph. Say "no graphing parameters selected" Any idea's?

I would of rated it 5 starts if it wasn't for the connection issues with my android. I love the app and it's extremely useful at track days. My only other concern is the price of the Bluetooth connect kit, i feel its extremely pricey. Since there are so many connection issues with OTG the Bluetooth kit seems to be the only answer and it's almost a forced buy if have the app. On the other hand I'm sure alot of R&D goes into a kit like that.

I would love to rate it 5. But . My app has set my jb4 on map 4 when its on map 6. It has done it 4 times now in the last two days. Can you guys help solve this issue. Also the engine type is for the Bmw models. When will more vag car setting be available.

Game changer. Installed my jb4 Bluetooth connect and installed the app. Works perfectly. No problems. Displays real time data. Was thinking about getting guages, but now I don't need them with this app. Thanks!

Doesn't connect! Useless.cant even get refund since this is the second time trying it. Ugh.

App runs solid but code reader can't read codes codes. Have to plug in obdeleven to read and clear codes. Would also be nice if 0-60 measurement is available to use

Connection issues

Always having troubles getting it to connect to my OTG cable. Good app but not reliable. None of the gauges work on the first screen when connected

Gauges have only worked twice in 4 months, connection via bluetooth using s5 takes atleast 5 attempts, purchased bluetooth connection for map switching on the fly only to find out its just easier to leave jb4 at map 1 or 0 because of connection errors. App needs serious fixing
