It connects fast and instalation is easy. But there are 2 issues. First problem is when you're away from home it only notifies you if there's a motion but It doesn't record it! Second problem is that the app overrides phone's vibration alert. Even if you put the app on completely silent mode, it still vibrates. There's also no option to disable the vibration. It's very annoying during meetings when your phone is on the table. Hope you guys can fix the vibration issue.

Please update the design of this app to modern Android!!! Notifications are ugly and do not use standard Android template, making them stand out with white boxes behind them. Also, on Pixel phones the app is stuck in landscape mode, making it not useful.

This is what I wrote in 2015: "I want fast response time, good quality video, reliability and the ability to stream pictures to the Web. I get none of these. Maybe the new version will be better. Here's hoping." I then switched to an iPhone, but am now back on Android. Video quality is better, but motion control SIMPLY DOESN'T WORK. It was fine on the iPhone, you tap the screen and swipe to move the camera, it's very precise. Not on my Samsung you don't. I would not buy DLink again. The cameras per se are fine, though the set-up is clunky. But then 1) every so often you lose connection to a camera and have to hard reboot it by unplugging it and plugging it back in when you're next on-site; and 2) the Android app doesn't work (see above). Sad.

App just hangs in setup process. I had to use an older phone just to get the setup to complete. Unbranded Chinese wifi switches have a smoother setup process. There's no way to set notification time of day, which is a hassle to turn on and off.

This app stinks! Absolute. JUNK!!! Used to work ok but it has done nothing but waste my life for months on end! The Modem is as much of a LEMON as this application Don't waste your time with the download!!!

Latest update won't let me connect to update the firmware, it just times out. App and camera are now useless. Please fix this, i use an android phone

Absolute waste of time. Beyond disappointed and won't make the same mistake again. $300 later and I will be returning it in the morning. Thanks for nothing. If your shareholders had any idea of the sort of quality control present, they would likely cry.

Latest patched destroyed the ability for every device I own (iPad, kindle, multiple android phones) to connect to camera. Nothing works, no way to connect. Way to go, yet another amateur patch from an appalling company......

The latest update makes this app useless. I could easily access my camera with the earlier version v3.7.2build 208. But after downloading the update, now I find it impossible to access my camera. Please advise me how to get back the old version. Please, please, please. I can't find the old version of this app in Google.

Buyer beware, I have 6 DCS 5020L & 1-5010L cameras and when you have a wifi glitch or any kind of a power outage the cameras do not reconnect to your wifi. You have to go and reset each camera to get them to connect to WiFi which means if you are not at home you can not do that, so no cameras until you get home. I switched from DSL to Cable, didn't help. Purchased the best motem router on the market, didn't help. I've asked my-dlink many times to help with this problem and they have no answer. So if anyone wants to buy 6 cameras let me know.

This app is "time out" Slow! It works once it finally loads up. But this company is very incompatible with windows 10. Almost a waist of money unless you have very good tech skills!

Setup on Pixel 2 XL is virtually unusable. It takes forever for cameras to be found or recognized. Takes even longer if you manage to get connected to the camera to "setup". At which point it will error out. Finally gave up and setup through my iPad, which was way easier. Why does Android not have the option of punching in the direct access Wifi name of the camera to connect? Will consider using other manufacturers in the future.

I have been trying to connect the app to my currently connected WiFi. Either it does not pick it up at all or it finds networks that I am not connected but can't find the WiFi I am currently connected to. This app is infuriating, irritating to use and most of the time unresponsive on both Android and iOS. Please fix your app DLink!

Just got even worse....slow buggy mobile apps. motion detection doesnt work and records dead air usually several secounds after the person has walked thru the field of view selected...most of the time. tons of configuration and settings on line using win8 but chrome and firefox will not work... time zone keeps reconfiguring itself wrong. currently using a 70gb wifi speed and located 25 feet from router so thats not the issue. tested several of these cameras and none capture actual people walking thru the indicated motion field selected or just the tail end and then it stops even though there atill is motion...big disappointment. do not rely on these cameras for serious security. way too many camera options so software is more buggy than others.

Garabge. Wont connect using either method the app offers. I know its not my connection because any other device connects no problem but this one wont. Waste of time and money

Update takes forever!!! After update, can't log in at all. Keep saying invalid email or password. Cant access now! Disappointed better dun update then.

Why cant you save videos to your phone??? You must the the SD card OUT ... yea really handy ... Really basic app. It's annoying you CANT save videos directly from the app You will have to take the SD out of your camera and save it that way .. ANNOYING . app is super slow. Not many features unless you go through this process om your desktop ... which didnt work for me in the end. App is annoying how it changes in to landscape when it wants to . The app is so slow sometimes. Your phone screen goes to sleep and you Will have to load it again... annnnyyoing. Good for cheap security though...WORTH 80 bucks for a dlink stand alone though . Caught some cool stuff .

It's great I can see it on my phone and even if it freezes on my phone reboot and it downloads . Never miss a thing . Can't complaint. Very clear vision day and night auto . God bless everyone. Jesus Christ is coming

I just purchased a Drink security camera mostly because it said that mydlink app was available on Windows, to find out when I got home it's not available with my windows phone because it has windows 10. Not only has this annoyed me greatly but makes me wonder how secure this is being they haven't even updated the app for windows 10 which has been out some time niw

New update breaks functionality. It no longer remembers my password and can't find local cameras. Now it takes me much longer to check the camera, making it a much worse baby camera. Feels like they are using updates to make old hardware obsolete.

How the hell does this damn app say I only have 3 devices connected on my router when I log on to my computer it clearly shows 12 connected wifi devices. Plus the amount of options I'm able to adjust on my router is slim to none!

Listen, when someone who works in IT can't get this to work on their home network there is something fundamentally wrong with the app or the camera that isn't being acknowledged by customer support.

Unable to access / format memory card. This app has very limited options, it only indicate to do it on web GUI & surprisingly, most of the web browsers are not supported.

Unable to save or change camera names. Whenever I edit and go to a different screen the name changes to what it was in the past.

I just check my apps found out that sound stream is N/A. please help to retify this issue ASAP

Does not work with pixel xl with Android 8. Can't seem to find the camera. But works well on my tablet with version 7

It didn't want to connect at first then once connected it worked for a few days then stopped working. Couple days later started working again. A week later stopped working again and now it's been two weeks and it won't come back on. Pay the extra $10 for the kodak cameras.

How do you make the push notification louder (Im not sure it has sound at all, despite the checkbox) I want this thing to wake me up if the baby gets up

App stuck when setting up camera. I would put in the camera password and hit next, app would think wheel for two minutes and then say it updated the time zone. I would hit next again and back to the time zone update notice. Never would go past this point. When I switched from my Android phone galaxy s4 to my kids galaxy edge it did the same thing. Used my other kids apple phone and it worked and registration went through. Android has been around how long and is bigger than apple now and you can't make a app that works?? Camera is the 5020L

Product worked for a month and then suddenly started displaying a red X next to the camera icon making me unable to view the camera from my device. My camera is DCS-936L. I have unplugged and restarted. Still unable to view.

It's okay for viewing cameras, I guess, but if it is going to bypass the notification procedure all other apps seem to use, let me configure the sound/vibration so I can tell it from e-mails. UPDATE: sounds go through Ringer volume, not notification volume. My ringer tone is quiet and my notifications are loud and I don't need them coming in stacked or staggered on top of each other upon connecting to the internet at an already loud volume. Please fix or band-aid solution.

App states my camera is constantly disconnected on remote mode. It's very delayed and slow.

Just downloaded this yesterday. It worked fine all day yesterday, but today I can't load the feed at all. My boyfriend has it downloaded on his iPhone and it's working fine, so I know it's not the camera, but the app. I tried to forcr stop the app, tried restarting my phone, tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing has worked.

Garbage spent 320$ and wirless doenst even work. Works if you want wires running on your floor or ceiling. Unless your a professional and can run through the walls. My opinoin DO NOT BUY!!!!!

You get what you pay for or less. Motion detector is loud so it's pointless for what I need it for. It's hell to use if you disconnect it, the setup is annoying everytime.very time consuming.

this is such an horrible app and experience and the only thing the company will do is to drop a cookie cutter reply below. NEVER EVER BUY DLINK AGAIN.

I do have a D-Link DCS-930L. Installation won't push through. I connected it via LAN cable to router but app cannot detect the camera. Mind you that I have a great internet connection. Please fix the bug!
