No matter what I do the app just crashes. My thought is its not compatible with Android version 7.. It worked up until recently but now no matter what I do it crashes on start-up.

Paid $50 for the dongle and the app does not even run. Crashes on startup. I have a Samsung S7. Please update your app or direct me to an app that will work. So disappointed.

Got it fom Hardly Normal on special for $16 . I thought it a bargain but no. I put a friend onto it and he bought one. Mine worked for 6 months and his did not work . I got a new one under warranty last week and that did not work at all. App says "no device" and when it worked it warmed up, it doesn't now and will not work . That is 3 out of 3 failures. Save your money or you can buy mine for $8 (brand new)

Does not work with Nougat (Android 7), and hasn't been updated to work with it even though this version of Android is almost 9 months old.

Worked fine but now wont work with Android 7, DLink fix it or your product is useless and a waste of money.

The App works well and does what it should Worked perfectly on my Oppo Mirror 5S You would be better to use the PadTV app as you can pause and rewind live TV as well

Originally worked okay, just reinstalled on S7 and will not open. Continually fails. Have installed and reinstalled with same result.

Some simple instructions; throw the little loop antenna over your left shoulder, spend $10 on a high gain antenna from ebay and the tuner will happily chug along on a cheap aldi tablet for hours. :-)

This app wouldn't work when I upgraded to android 7.1 with the native app. So I have been researched all over internet with lot off apps on android so found "PADTV" app works like charm than the native app. Have a try people and enjoy.

I have read people have not had much success indoors. However, I don't know why an individual would buy it for that purpose. I'm rocking the 9 speaker system in my Prius and using a Note 4, which is mounted of the windshield; if that's of any help to anyone.

Suggest you blow up the programming department and replace them with 12 year old kids, they will probably do a better job. Removed your software, threw the dongle in the bin where it belongs, and have replaced all my D-Link equipment with NetComm. Life is much easier now.

Considering returning for refund... does not playback recorded programs with the supplied app, had to download vlc player which will not allow me to cue or review, i.e skip advertisements... more work needed to make this device operate as described... I don't recommend this product if you want to record... or shedule record. Perhaps dlink may wish to give me additional support so I can at least skip advertisements on my recordings... btw the device becomes extremely hot... this is a concern.

Works really well. Would benefit from a few improvements to the UI, but it does what it says it does (unless you take the stickers off the packaging and read what the original features were meant to be or bought one before they altered the packaging). So far mostly satisfied.

Useless. Scans channels in, then when you try to watch any of them, it tells you "no signal". The same antenna works just fine in a digital TV. Also resets the tablet on occasion.

R70%

I purchased this yesterday at JB HI FI and installed the app on my Galaxy S4 and the small device overheated, it said no signal. And the worse part about it is now my S4 will not charge anymore. So in conclusion to this I got a useless phone and a device that does not function. Not happy I'm am very furious with D-Link. No one buy this crap.

Won't run, crashes immediately after channel scan on HP Pro Slate 10 with Lollipop 5.0.2. Extremely disappointed this has not been updated in well over 12 months. Very poor D-Link.

Interesting to note that none of your apps rate very highly. Suggest you blow up the programming department and replace them with 12 year old kids, they will probably do a better job.

Only had this for about 2 months.....on the one occasion i needed it, it stopped working in the prior 2 weeks - assume the latest android update to 5.1.1 has affected the product, fix it please or a refund is required.

When first using this with Lollipop 5.0 I would have rated this with 5 stars. BUT...... Since upgrading to Marshmallow 6.0 it has stopped working on my Moto G 3rd Gen!!! Is there going to be a fix or should I take it back for a refund and go with another brand? ..... Come on D-Link get with the plan, why sell this stuff if you are not going to support it?

The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of a bargain price. What a waste of money payed $50 for device doesn't work even with home amplified antena d-link should be ashamed

First I tried it on my tablet which wasn't a successful try, but then after on my mobile phone it did perfectly. Liked it. Got all free-to-air channels in Australia and now I can watch them all in my bedroom if I want to. Happy I bought it.

App works fine in Samsung note5. Reception is very good for a small loop antenna - I use it when travelling and often better than the hotel TV's with rooftop antenna & definately better than bunny ears so they've got something right. Setup (name country & channel search) was a breeze. Having app start as soon as dongly is inserted is great. Haven't tried out recording yet. Main criticisms are with the dongle itself #1 being it would be highly desirable if you could plug a power charger mini-USB into the dongle (to pass the power thru to the phone) as watching TV on phone means bright screen & processor running + powering the dlink tuner so it will run your battery down FAST. Means not usable for extended watching. #2 is as the plug is on the end of the TV dongle it sticks out - if it was on the side it would sit closer to the phone/tablet. #3 is this is andriod only (like it says on the box to be fair) but it's a pity they don't have a windows program as my laptop/tablet runs windows & would be great to use the bigger screen.

You must select you location to make it work. Go to the section where you scan for channels and in the box on the bottom left hand corner select your Country from the drop down menue. Then scan. The loop antenna doest always work. Recomend you purchase a mini portable antenna.Use the supplied adapter to connect. Brilliant device.Would give it 10 stars if I could. You do not have to connect to the internet as it does not use Data. Just like a mini TV Screen.

Read all the reviews, but thought I'd give it the benefit of the doubt, the app crashes as soon as the channel scan finishes on my Lenovo yoga tab 3 and then won't re-open. No help from tech support.

Used it for awhile but reecently tried it and the device is not recognised by the app after insertion. If this device is prone to fail without longevity, i would suggest to not miniaturize but provide a proper cable connection. Disappointed.

So I'm using a a Sony Xperia tablet 2. DTV tuner from Dlink itself is a great compact device. Easy to install and use. My recommendation for purchasing this device and app depends on what you are expecting from it. the TV function itself works great, I have perfect reception for most channels in my suburban house. But this does depend on location and the materials of your house. The disappointing part about this is not to bother recording TV. It's a bit of a gimmick feature added on. Firstly saving format Is bloated and after a minute of recording you've racked up 20+mb, secondly playback feature depends IF your device supports (FYI unless my tablet is taking ages to buffer Sony can NOT) , thirdly the feature seems to be in alpha stage at best, compared to other DTV recording devices you are not able to prepare and set recording times when you'd like. You have to be at your device and the show must be playing. So all In all I am satisfied but not impressed (at least with my entire expectations. The TV watching feature alone is fantastic). If Dlink was to improve on the above features listed I would be more than happy to give this a 4 or 5 rating.
