About [root] Überscanner
ROOT IS REQUIRED
The app will get your vertical display resolution, cut it in half, then shift the whole screen down by that much, using the wm overscan terminal command. Run the app again or use the notification button that is created in order to restore your default screen state.
Does not work with all apps and may cause crashes. If the app you're using crashes or your screen goes unusable, hit the home button and/or check the notification shade for the safety button.
Recommend setting the app to launch with an external application of some sort, like a button long press or gesture or whatever.
If your device becomes unusable because you overscanned then dismissed the notification that is the "safety button" and have no way to relaunch, try rebooting in safe mode maybe. Or you'll have to connect to a computer, open an adb terminal and run the command "wm overscan reset" as root.
I'm not a real developer or even a good fake one, but figured that this task/app was solid enough that I'd put it out for anyone that wanted to try. There isn't really anything I can fix about the app if it doesn't work on your device.
If you want the Tasker XML, let me know via email.
