Leg warmers are great for a number of reasons. My favorite reason is that they keep me warm. If my ankles or legs get too cold I am not a happy camper, and so I have gotten used to wearing them under my jeans as well as my pajamas. The quickest way to make them, is of course to sew them, but, unless you use stretchy material, these do not fit as close as if you were to crochet or knit them.
Leg warmers are actually a great project to learn how to crochet, knit or sew! If they don't turn out, you have not wasted any material as you can still wear them underneath your clothes, and they will still keep you warm.
