Watershot for Android

Luckily I tried the app out before buying the housing and just as well. Seems to work okay for photos (haven't tried many of the features though) but video recording resolution is stuck at 1080p when my phone (Galaxy S5) is capable of 4k. Will buy a Gopro or equivalent instead.

I bought the camera housing for a Samsung Galaxy S3..I installed this application and have used it on many Scuba diving trips..works very well..

Seems to be a good app. Shame the share to facebook/instagram/twitter function doesn't work. Would be 5 stars otherwise. Update 8 march 2016 now this is one star. Everytime i try to take a picture it crashes!!!!!!!

This app sucks through battery so quickly. I don't know if there is anything that can be done to fix this but that would be nice. Can you at least make the app show the battery percentage in increments of 1% instead of 5%. Thanks!

Wanted to love this app but for some reason the new edition had an error associated with it. When i try to link my Facebook account, it returns and error message and states its restarting the app. Would be willing to re-evaluate if fixed or there was a way to go back to the old system as it worked as advertised. Sucks that my trip to the Bahamas is this Saturday. Oh well, GOPRO will have to do.

Set it up to save to 64 gig level 10 sd card. I take a picture, it saves, I can see it. Set up Facebook and Twitter, take a picture, saving, saving, saving.......It never saves. I uninstall reinstall set out to NOT save automatically, set everything up, set up sharing, I take a couple pictures. It all works. I select auto save and again the pictures just don't save.

Loved the app Till last update. Now once it goes to sleep mode it will not wake up. I worked with all my settings and it does not work. Phone is a galaxy s3. I dive a lot and teach scuba. Would really love to recommend the watershot but only if it starts working again. Please fix.

Ok, all better now. Developer has been fixing issues as soon as they are noticed. Software and case work very well, I have some amazing vacation photos to prove it. For best results, add the red filter when diving in blue water(Hawaii) and the magenta when diving green water(Pacific off California).

my experience with it was lousy. The app got stuck on the info screen and I couldn't back out until I opened the case. It's like the buttons are in the wrong spot. It also doesn't let my phone sleep. I did figure out how to set the hope screen to launch the app. First dive ever and my camera was useless but in a very cool case. Galaxy S4

Video motion is blurry compared to standard camera app. No shot options. Send a bit unrefined

The video feature causes the software to crash, so I can't use it while diving. The other problem I ran across was the sleep function. Holding down a button for more then a second or so causes the software to go into sleep mode - without taking the picture. When using gloves, this is easy to do and caused me to miss a bunch of opportunities. Please let the user select the number of seconds before going to sleep mode or set it to 5.

Buttons not lined up for Galaxy S3. Is there a fix coming for this?

Unable to save to SD card on Galaxy S4, also the video capture is slow and choppy. Hoping I can get by using the stock camera app as I just ordered the case online.

2 of the keys on the back of the case are not aligned properly with the app and there is no way to adjust it. Galaxy S 3.

When the app works it is amazing, however it freezes often and for some reason I can not play back the videos.

As stated before, great app when it works - it often freezes on me mid-dive and I am unable to click any of the inaccessible options displayed on the screen to fix it. Also won't play back videos recently. Disappointed, lost some awesome underwater footage. :-(

tried the new 1.1.5 today and it still will not let me save to the external sd card, when you chose it in the menu then try and use it a small message pops up saying it can not find an external sd card and it saves it to system memory, this is a real pain since I can buy a larger sd card but can not increase system memory, so I am pretty much limited to 2 gigs of video before I can not longer take photos or video. really sucks since I have a 64 gig sd card on board.

OK its fixed thanks. It did take me a bit to find were the folder for the pics was located. Just an FYI try to make it easier to find next update maybe show the folder directory on the photo info tab. Other then that I am fully satisfied. On my way to the Caribbean for a 2 week Cruise leave 4/25/2014. Great job.

It stops working while in use in the middle of a dive .

If I would have known I was going to have so many problems, I would have bought a go Pro. Capture rate is too slow, by the time you take a picture fish moved and image is blurred. Galaxy S4 is capable of amazing images and I haven't been impressed yet.. Also the app crashes mid dive and there is nothing you can do about it since you are underwater. I dove in cozumel Mexico and missed photo ops of a lifetime because I relied on this app. And when app is in sleep mode, it drains the battery super fast.

Please fix this program urgently. I want to use my watershot housing with my S4 in Mauritius on thuesday the 11th Feb. I am going to scuba five snd not this watershop program is not working. I paid R1600.00 for housing not to be used. This is so sad!!

was at the beach for the first time in a while and first time ith my watershot case. Was pretty excited to use it to take pictures on my kids BUT the app wasn't opening! Uninstalled and installed the app and same thing. I was pretty much frustrated and disappointed. PLEASE FIX THIS. I didn't spend $140 for nothing.

Just got my case in the mail yesterday. Downloaded the app last week and it was fine. Now when I went to test it out the app won't even open on my s4. Very disappointed. Looks like I'll have to return the housing case if this isn't fixed soon.

The button orientation is to high for the s3. There should be two separate modes for the s3 and the s4, as they are similar in shape but not exactly symmetrical
