This WAS an amazing, fun and informative app. The compass feature WAS great to look at, and the overlays WERE awesome. Although, since the latest updates I have an issue on the Galaxy S7 running Android 7. The compass reversed the directions and now 2 months later it will not open. UPDATE 2017-08-04: Still no helpful report from the developers. Someone gave me a response but I still have issues opening the app; then no more communication. It immediately closes on launch. This purchase is beginning to feel like a scam.

Have been a massive fan of this app for many, many years (3rd gen ipod touch was the first device that had it installed). Lots of great features and information. One huge issue, it hasn't booted on my galaxy S6 for a very long time. It won't even open for me have tried re-installing it, clean, on a couple of occasions and still a no-go. A little help, please?! Four stars only because I know how great it can be, and easily 5, if it works.

This is a great app, to see all that is up in the sky. I've loved it for a few years, but now it stopped working. It won't open up on my phone. OnePlus 3. Why?

Why can't I 'fly in' to the planets as I used to? They're all padlocked. Otherwise 5 stars. Help needed please.

I had a Distant Sun on every iPhone from 1st generation to 4S. I got the Galaxy S4 instead of the iPhone 5 and all I can think about is putting Distant Sun on my Galaxy.(update since my last comment) No matter how long this app has been out it never gets old, it has great content and the compass is DEAD ON. I am now running this app on my Galaxy Note3 and star gazing has never been funner.

On lg2 stock android 4.4.2, GPS seems unresponsive at worst, jerky/incorrect at best. I've seen other comments here reporting the same. Another thing I noticed: the pick feature doesn't appear to be calibrated . If I tap on the screen, it appears about a centimeter from where I want to click. I'd give this app a higher rating, but I need this fixed first! Thanks.

I've had Galileo on my Amiga A3000UX, and Distant Suns on my 'pc' and my KF>Android4.2. Works perfectly with NO issues. Thanks, Mike for keeping up with technology.

Nicely done! Tons of information. Real-time cloud layer around the Earth is a nice touch. It would be cool to see Saturn rings cast shadows on the planet, but this may be asking for too much.

R70%
by R####:

Rocket function is worth alone the price. Watch the inner solar system orbit the sun while standing close to Jupiter! The sun is drawn differently though, so it doesn't stay inside the inner planets' orbits. Would rate 6 stars once that is fixed.

I can't seem to get the app working to where I move my Note 3 around to view stars and planets. I know this has worked fine in the past, but now, moving my device around just makes the on-screen rendering of the starfield jump around erratically. Not sure what's up. Stock 4.4.2

I love this app, that's for sure. The only thing I wish was improved is the Compass accuracy. When I use my HTC Sensation to look at stars, my phone is off, showing stars slightly to the right from their actual positions. If this could be fixed, that'd be great. Thanks for the awesome app. -Raf

I give it 4 stars because I haven't launched it in the field yet. Use without an internet connection is a huge plus, couple o' stars right there. The information and photos really do add a "wow" factor. Infinitely more data and objects than I will ever use but that's okay. Turn 'em off.

Without doubt this is the best night sky app for Android tablets. There is a wealth of information integrated with many tools, a realistic sky, and an intuitive UI. I will use it daily and I'm grateful for its GPS sensitivity. I wish 6 stars were available. Great app and more than worth the price.

This is a great app, to see all that is up in the sky. Fascinating. I thrill my friends by pointing out various stars and planets. But one thing: Why are the names so small? And when I zoom in, the images get bigger but not the names. Still hard to read, even with bifocals. Please fix.

Comet ison? Why is it in the ios version but not this one? This looks like an older version, keep it up to date please. Other than that it is still a great planetarium program.

Finally, bug crashes fixed. Star picker and zoom could be better, but still the best in the field.
