Cadrage Director's Viewfinder for Android
How can I manually focus & change WB?
Useful. Friendly
Update: now it's working fine again. ------ After update it says the app is not registered and that I have to connect to the Internet to register it but Im already connected. I even tried uninstalling and installing again and same issue. Please fix this ASAP as I paid for this app and I use it for work!
love this app, helping so much!! but I wish the developer can add Fibonacci Spiral Golden Ratio display overlay (up, down, left and right "spiral" display overlay can be change when take a photo), I think it will be usefull to create great composition :)
It helps me try different gear setups quickly. I would give it six stars if I could.
Great tool for shot listing and storyboards.
Long overdue review! Great support, great price, lots of great features and constantly getting better!
This app has only 4 lens choices !!! 25-32-50-85mm
Its a grt app☺
Clean, capable and so helpful to always have at hand. Best I know of, including more expensive Smartphone viewfinders. Especially like the ability to select specific focal lengths for display and show them together as an overlay. Great feature. Suggestion: add the capability to capture ands save that same overlay view to a snapshot for future reference so later one can quickly see their relative fields of view in a single image. Thanks for a great app. Mike M.
This is so handy to have! It makes location scouting and scene blocking so easy and it's always with when I stumble across new locations. Fantastic work developers. Looking forward to what you do next.
Suppper loved it :3
It is great...
I find it very useful. Must have for a director.
I think this app will help me during location hunting.
Works really well. Love that I can save camera packages for easy switching between settings.
Excellent director's viewfinder
Niceeee
I shoot sports and action for high school and college level athletes and other action events. Not only does Cadrage allow me to frame and preview my shots in advance, but I have since been able to mount my phone over my camera as a sort of larger screened, floating view screen. Now, whether I video record or shoot stills, I'm getting a variety of additional benefits. The primary is the ability to calibrate the app to emulate my camera's aspect ratio and lens type (even my zoom lens) on the screen. Now when I shoot a series of fast shots, the phone's screen shows me all the data without the repetitive blanking out that I get from the camera's view screen and view finder. Since the ways my modern camera can shoot are in selectable, programmable modes, I dont really need to see my camera's data unless I'm changing the settings. Cadrage allows me to focus on the action (and more of it, since my phone shows the whole, zoomed out image with the marked levels of available zoom, taken from my lens's exterior markings, which Cadrage allowed me to customize!) and operate my equipment while looking at an UNINTERRUPTED view of everything!
I like this app.
Is this app compatible with a Galaxy S2? Seems like every camera format I choose the frame looks the same
I don't know how I went even a week without it. Amazing. They breakdown so many more specific camera, lens, aspect ratio and adapter options than the "other" viewfinder app. Just amazing. I wish you could specify where the stills will be saved.
Love this app, but would be amazing and awesome to see speed booster adapter's included
Good for Directors
This is why I got this App. Profiling mobile phone cameras with their rather narrow FOV but with an wide angle adapter attached helps w/ wide angles from 35mm and wider. A next feature should be the possibility to save a profile of your mobile with a fish eye attached and one without. B/c I don't always carry the fish eye and you have to re-calibrate once you've used your mobile again w/ the original settings. :-(
Using this app for location scouting is incredibly useful. Even when shooting run and gun I can quickly frame up shots using exactly the camera /lens settings I want and send to camera crew with all info and GPS data. Keeps everyone on the same page and I believe we can get more done in a day with better footage. Awesome!
Works well whit my Samsung Galaxy Note 3, no problems so far and helps me alot whit scouting and shooting. Defenatly good stuff!
Proper if you down with that
The most powerful director's viewfinder for Android with responsible developers.
Excellent app...
The Sony A7s will never sell as many as the Alexia or Phantom, too bad its not supported.
.... but it kept coming up wrong. I was measuring out the precise distance to the object and all, but never would it show me the right aspect ratio afterwards. Even with something as 1:2.20 I would still get a square aspect ratio with blue bars in the sides... What the hell to do, it's paid for, now I want it to work!
Like this. Just wondering if this apps could record a video
I find it very useful. Must have for a director.
Good for Directors
I think this app will help me during location hunting.
I Love It.
must have
On the last film I shot, I had the director and myself use this app, I did not have to use my camera during prep, nor did I have to hand it to him just so he could "see the shot" he could do it with his phone and take a photo for reference with the correct aspect ratio and focal length. I was great for me as I don't like handing a $10k camera an lens to someone who is just going to wave it around on set to see what things look like. I am thinking of getting a wide angle supplementary lens for my phone to extend the range of focal lengths, but the "stock" lens is quite good for super 35. MJM

Help me out guys... Downloaded on my new Galaxy S7 Edge and the app won't load past the Cadrage home screen. Nothing gets me into the actual app itself. Worked perfectly on my old LG.
