DAEMON Sync: Offline backup for Android
The easiest and fastest way to transfer work pics from my phone to my laptop (w/o BT). It's great for more than that but that's all I need it for right now. Thanks for such a great tool!
It was useless to install this app infact a wastage of time as I have been trying to activate but this was asking for 4 digits pin codes I tried several times but doesn't work for me
Hey there, which port do one have to forward to access the server from anywhere?
Not open on honor8
It worked (^O^)
Seems useful
Finalllllllly thanks God been 3 months from my last sync to pc because it was not able to access sd on my htc one M9.. I was even searching for alternative recently.. Thanks a million
Works perfectly
Great app! I have trouble syncing, sometimes, even though DS is off the Optimize list. It'll get halfway through and then be "Unable to connect to server." I'm using an LG V10. Another question! Is two-way sync an option? I changed phones and would like to use this app to move pictures from my PC to my new phone. I know I can do that manually, but is there an easier way through this app? Thanks in advance!
Typical of Daemon Tools to charge a fee so you can do something useful with your own data. You can "backup/sync" whatever you want and it will take it all no questions asked... This is great! But if you want or need to transfer that data back to your device you get to do so one item at a time, unless you pay a fee. I get you need to make money, we all do, but at least be up front about it. I will continue to use SyncMe Wireless, it does everything I need, is upfront about any additional costs (not important because it does everything daemon clams to do, but does it without cost), and actually syncs between my device and computer or NAS, both ways without charging for it! Awesome! Sorry Daemon, uninstalling.
Can't send files to device at all. Says that the device is offline. Does not recognize the SD card as a place to sync custom folders. It did sync the folders that I indicated to the server.
If you could add a system shortcut for syncing with server it would be awesome
The best in sync apps locally.
Does absolutely what it says in the description. But server (desktop app) folder choosing is not as wanted. Requires an empty folder !!! Content organisation inside that folder is not customizable. So I cannot use my existing collection folder, which is very sad. I want to be able to completely customizer how which data will be organised & on what folder. Therefore I can assign which content (from what folder) goes where (on server). So the data organization will be compatible with my existing structure,
Okay. So the server is still the Windows server (2003?). But I cant install the new server application. It says Unable to initialize DAEMON Sync setup plugin. Please contact support. So?
Thanks a lot for this awesome app, it save's a lot of time, effort and its easy to use, one thing I wish to you to add it, is the ability to change the sync folder in the phone, rather than that, it's perfect.
Terrible

Really great and fast app! I wish there would be more configuration aspects such as filters, or the option to delete only certains folders or files after uploading. Otherwise just great! I really recommend it.
If you are having trouble with daemonsync server in Ubuntu try reinstalling daemonsync, update Ubuntu and reboot. Worked for me. gdebi -n to install may help get all dependencies as well. Or dpkg -i and then apt-get -f install. Even if you tried the current version, try again. Seems to have an update without version number change.
There's only the internal storage appearing i can't navigate to the external sd card so i can choose a folder and thanks for your reply:)
Finally app which can auto sync with my ubuntu desktop.manual send file to and from server or other client would have gem on crown
Whats with new permissions and in app purchases please explain so i can chose to update
Works perfectly
Everything is working as it should! Fast and easy!
Solved a problem for me -- works automatically and beautifully
Update : As the custom folder restored, this app becomes good again. Thanks dev for quick hotfix! Such responsive devs. Also thanks for the 2 way sync feature. I have need for it too. Hope for new cool feature(s) in the future!
Acknowledged about the 64-bit version for the Linux PC. However, upon trying to open the .deb, the Gdebi suddenly closes without any notice at all. I've sent a contact email regarding the matter and the investigation i made, but haven't received a reply for weeks now. So I think it would be a great idea to write a new review here! Still, looking forward to try this!

Very easy to set up. My only complaint is that it won't let me specifically add DCIM/Camera as a custom folder, telling me to use "Photos" instead. But when I select "Photos", it syncs ALL photos that wind up on my phone, not just ones that go into DCIM. I don't want to back up all the stuff that other apps write to my phone's storage. I JUST want to back up pictures and videos I take. Edit - One more problem I've run into is the fact that the scheduled backup isn't working. My media syncs just fine when I manually trigger it, but when I set it up to auto-sync, it just doesn't. I have automatic sync turned on, and the sync interval set to 15 minutes.
It works fine now. Thanks for your help. Rating changed to 5 stars
Though it's not FTP server kind of thing but really loved the auto backup that it does
I have download daemon sync for laptop as well as mobilephone. When i connect with my phone it says "wifi is disabled". But I enabled the wifi. I am in need of ur help
More useful than Dropbox for transfers
Worked fine for awhile. After uploaded ~6Gb, then failed and keep saying "Not Enough Space" even my server have >700Gb disk space. :-(
I like what this can do and would be perfect for me but can not download server to my Linux Ubuntu laptop. Will give 5 stars when possible.
If you can an option to send from PC to phone it'll be great :) btw absolutely amazing app with an amazing team, they are very helpful
Doesn't do proper sync. Just keeps copying files, so if you do anything with the received files they just keep getting copied again.
Great idea but doesn't sync automatically at all on my Nexus phone. App stays in the background, though no syncs but manual ones.. Too bad. Updated review - the sync disn't work due to security settings on my phone. After adjusting this it works great!

After using this app along with its server to sync files locally for over 6 months, I have to say it's a hit and miss solution for syncing. 2 main issues that occur are: 1. not able to find or connect to server - occurs often and always need to find some ways to get it to work again (restart server, reinstall..) 2. sync photos and videos that are already synced previously (thus creating duplicates) - occurs sometimes and very frustrating to deal with hundreds redundant files Small issues like below also show that it's not working as a stable local sync solution. - server ask for storage destination when it's showing the path already - device last sync time is never correct
