Discogs - Catalog & Collect for Android
It's the small things that disappoint with this app: release versions aren't listed chronology and there is seemingly no way of amending this, you can't disable persistent annoying notifications i.e. "You have x unread messages", you can't sort by vendor inventory. Think I'll stick to the website as this was a huge letdown.
Love it! Been a help when I'm out shopping for records for more info or to see if it'd be better to possibly order it online and wait to avoid over paying. Using the bar code feature is highly recommended if you use the app like I do.
Great App, just don't know how to leave feedback. I have had great interactions with everyone on here and can't rate them as in other app's. Besides that this is probably one of the better app's I've ever used.
It's been a great Android discogs experience so far. At first it was strange to me since I'm used to the web format, but it gets easy to navigate and utilize.
Great app can find a good price and great people.
Gold standard for vinyl collectors
Great app to help keep track of my collection.
Does what i need it too buy and sell records perfect
Awesome app!
I like it simple and easy to use.
I found it to be very easy
Awesome app for cataloging your vinyl collection. However it does crash quite a bit, it can be slow at times and it sucks the life out of your battery. Also I wish it were redesigned to make more features accessible (friends features, ability to see your notes and grades right from the collection page) But in conclusion, it is a great app for music lovers/vinyl collectors.
I love discogs but the app should be better. At minimum, you should be able to search and filter inventory from a seller. All you can do currently is sort by artist or catalog number, then forced to browse through 30 items at a time while it loads another 30. Basically, unable to find the item you want when the seller has a large inventory. If I want to just browse aimlessly, I'll go to my local shop.
A great app for vinyl collectors, music lovers, and DJs! It's not quite as fully featured as the Discogs website, but has the Discogs collection tools you need on-the-go. Catalog your music collection: LPs, 45s, CDs, cassettes / tapes, and more. The barcode scanner works great for releases that have a barcode!
App works great. My gf I'm sure hates that I can easily biu records now on my phone. I wish you could leave feedback for sellers through the app however. It was a bit annoying trying to figure it out and then having toog into the site to do it anyway.
It's good but each time I click on a show artist releases the app crashes. It also crashes randomly on slot more occasions. It links you to the external discover site way too often. If you're just looking for the artists discography or looking for a price then it's okay but I'm still struggling to find the search parameters for type and genre of vinyl.
I really like this app but one misfiring feature really annoys me. The 'lowest/average/highest' price info just stops working after a few days and I have to uninstall and reinstall the app in order to dee that information again. When pricing records up for my business this is a real bind. Other than that, it's great!
Amazing concept to have in your pocket as you go about your crate digging - the one issue I have is the non - working feature for reading Messages in my Inbox. On the Galaxy Note 3 it simply hangs at 'Fetching Messages, Please Wait' and continues to sit there even after a successful synchronisation. Please fix this in the next update.
App is good for updating collection, but one thing horribly lacking is the ability to edit releases. I'm very rarely near a computer so fixing a mistake or adding a release is not something I'm able to do often. Being able to edit and upload images from mobile would greatly improve the Discogs community as well.
Great site but downright awful app. Crashes every 2 mins, can't browse on my phone browser without opening this crappy app. When clicking on "view sellers inventory" it takes 5 minutes to load. Have to uninstall to actually be able to browse for products. Garbage. Edit- all issues resolved with recent update. Much more stable now
Nice app for keeping your collection inventory and I like having my wishlist handy for crate digging. Only gripe is the search function sometimes does not connect lately. Is the database under construction?
Good to manage your collection. Too simple for browsing music to buy. Messages workes fine but takes forever to load on my phone. Would be great if it could play youtube vids like on the site but thats an android limitation. Please make it possible to multiselect albums and messages and then have the option to add to wantlist or delete/mark as read. Great to have the app and see it evolving from whst it was. Good stuff! Thank you!
Update - issue fixed! Great app! If it's half as good as the website I'm sure I will love it, however can't make it to login, keeps getting stuck at "Loading discogs", hence 4 stars
It's impossible to create an account because it says my email doesn't exist. Ok discogs well I'm saying your app doesn't exist how do you like that? Doesn't feel good to hear does it
It constantly crashes - and that's not an overstatement. It's a really cool idea for an app if you're into vinyl - just be patient as you'll have to open and reopen again and again.
The collection feature is really nice, especially if you have a lot of vinyl. It does need some work though. It messes up the order of the collection frequently and the only fix I've found is to open another thing like wantlist and switch back. Another issue that is much worse is that the collection doesn't show items in your collection, even if you've already added it. I have my collection (over 100) alphabetized and plan on using this app to find what I'm looking for. I do love how convenient the collection feature is so hopefully these issues are resolved.
The best site on the web to manage record collections and purchase used records by a mile. Only 4 stars though because the app has constant crashes and issue.
I could not get past the security where you have to select the square with signs. I really wanted to try the app.
I love your website but this app is completely useless. I can't find anything. The app just isn't as intelligent as your website. Useless. Sorry.
Unfortunately this app is very disappointing. The filter when searching for albums is slow and awful, why not have physical filter selections for media type, country etc. like on iOS?
Great app for viewing the Discogs website. I would like if it synced messages automatically without having to open the app. Nothing I get through the Discogs site isn't actually that important though so I didn't take off a star because of that.
Pretty great app. Some times had minor issues with opening my inbox from time to time.
One of the better designed apps I use. Search and barcode scanner work perfectly. You can do basically everything the website does and in a more streamlined mobile cintric interface. I wish more ppl made their apps this great.
Bit on the slow side as an app for searching for example , plus Inbox doesn't synchronize ..keeps saying (fetching messages ) but it never does . Update miffed out as advised now I can't log in .
Ideal for collectors/buyers. Not ideal for sellers. Quite limited in what you can do but not bad when you consider Discogs is a huge site. Worth having despite!
Just brilliant, been using this a while and had an account even longer. The only people making a site this useful and concise. The only database my insurance company will accept too! Detailed, current, huge database used world wide and a great community.
Logs me out every time I open it and it's difficult to log back in. It's virtually useless to me as a mobile app if I can't retrieve and enter personal info
This thing never shows inbox messages. It just says "retrieving messages" and spins forever. Since the website takes me to the app, I cannot see my messages unless I'm on a PC. Very extremely lame...
Unfortunately this app is seriously lacking in numerous ways. It crashes routinely on my Nexus 9, doesn't automatically open the keyboard after tapping Search, has to constantly sync everything from scratch (showing your collection as 0) (which can be done only from the Profile page, which is strange), you can't edit or add releases via this app, when you add Notes it for some reason automatically capitalizes the first letter of every word, messages take an absurdly long time to load (if they load at all)... I could go on, but the point is there are a lot of kinks to work out, and this app isn't updated frequently enough to give me hope that they'll be worked out in a reasonable amount of time.

Update has severely limited how often I will use the app. I can no longer search for formats within a title, something I could do before and which is vital when trying to find the correct version of an album with lots of entries.
