About addCSVcontact

With addCSVcontact you can import contacts from a csv file to your mobile.


IMPORTANT: CSV-Files can only be read by this app, if the following csv format is given!
All negative ratings are done by people which doesn't read this description, and now they are complaining that the app can not read csv files exported by other applications. READ this and it will work!

The csv file format looks like:
firstname;lastname;phone;mobile;e-mail;company


IMPORTANT: It has to be a file explorer app installed. The file explorer app is needed to select the csv file from your mobile.
For example: ES Explorer, Root Explorer, ...

Steps to import:
1) Copy the csv file to your mobile
2) Start addCSVcontact
3) Click at "Select csv file"
4) Select the file browser/explorer app you would like to use to select the csv file
5) Select the csv file
6) Now every contact from the csv file will be shown. Contacts which will be imported (Key: First- and Lastname) will be marked as "new - ADD".
7) If one of the "new - ADD" contacts should not be imported just select the row and the entry will be marked as "new - IGNORE"
8) The import will start by clicking at "Add contact(s)" at the bottom of the table.

I have downloaded the app and created the csv file as mentioned. The app failed to import contact entries from csv file [Reply] The issue is if the data for any of the field is null or blank, the app discards that entry. For e.g. for the CSV format, "firstname;lastname;phone;mobile;e-mail;company" if the company name is blank, that entry will not get imported. So that is where it failed miserably for my case. And I need to put some default value in all fields. :)
