Viper Connect for Android
Just switched from iPhone to android and I am shocked to see that notifications (nor text or email) when alarm is triggered does not work on android!?!?! So how am I suppose to know if the alarm goes off?? Also this app has not been updated since 2013 when created!?!?!
We need Push notification please, at least sms, other then that everything ok, without push notification useless,

This app has not been updated since 2013. That is almost 2 years now. It would take a minimal effort from a support engineer to update this app and bring in push notifications and android wear support, both of which this app is more than a perfect candidate for.
$10 a month and gives u up date by email,when the use a door or motion go's off good for me
No push notifications when their support manual says they are a feature. No support from the company.

Update: I got confirmation from Directed that it works. Email them for the secret sauce. The app stopped being updated in 2013. It doesnt work at all for iphones greater then 4. On Many androids it doesnt work. Viper knows less about this product then I do about Mars. They should stick to car security

Once a status is reported such as a door is open, then correct the error, it doesn't clear in this app. It clears on pc and using the keyfob works but the app still wants to bypass the door in question. It is lame for a reputable company to abandon a product line but continue to sell it as if it will be maintained. Had I only known
First, I haven't had a single issue with my Viper Home Security system. Everything works like it should. However, this review is based on the app and its support. Viper has no plans on updating the app--I've confirmed this with the developer. If you look in the description of the app, you'll see it hasn't been updated since December of 2013 and based on the version number, this app was released and then updated once. To reduce the possibility of bugs and other issues, an app should be updated regularly to meet the needs of new technology/demands of consumers. I've reached out directly to Viper to try and get some understanding on why they've been ignoring this product, especially since they're still selling it on the market--no reply. Absolutely horrendous customer support. Even though the product works fine, it would be nice to have push notifications on my phone, as well as some easier online tools. I don't know, think outside of the box Viper. Try and develop new tools so you can compete with your competitors. With that, I would think twice before purchasing this product. It will most certainly be the last Viper product I will EVER purchase based on its customer support.

The motion detector may be broke on my set. but in any case when I trigger the door alarm, I just get an email but this ap does not let me know the alarm is going off. No noise. . No words. .. Nothing to notify me of a alarm. returning back to best buy tomorrow.

This app needs some TLC, and push notifications as many have noted. Right now all home security alerts are through email which is a little annoying.
Shouldn't take 1 year to update an app to have push notifications. Other than this major detail every thing else works good.
This product has been discontinued. We now have an expensive security system with no support, app updates, new devices. Viper tested the waters for home security and didn't do as well as they thought they would. This gives me a terrible taste of the entire company because they treated us like guinea pigs, and because of that they obviously do not care about their customers.
This system needs push notifications or at least text messages. Aside from that the app is great. The service from Viper is not so good, there is no instructions on how to install devices for the Z-Wave. I rate the app a 4 out of 5 and Viper service a 3 out of 5

1. There needs to be away to test Senors in ensure they are working. 2. We need push notifications. Relying on email is not the solution!
Great system but I can't for the life of me figure out why they left out push notifications!? I would like to see the option to get notified for history events as well as alarms. Separate though so I can turn on/off either of them as needed. 5 stars after!

The motion detectors don't have nearly the range they advertise. And the notifications don't work when the alarm finally does decide to work. There is no actual phone number to call Viper about home alarms. Just email. And I still haven't heard from them. This piece of junk is going back to Best Buy.

I can't even log into my Viper Home account any more. My system works fine when operated from a PC, but this app is totally useless.
