Dimplex Electric Heating App for Android
App is compatible with WiFi or cellular connectivity.
Crashing a lot. Timezone set on controller is wrong and i can't manually change it on controller as it syncs over wifi. For some reason app doesn't always show the same schedule on my device and my wife's device. Useful app if it works... As another reviewer mentioned, loses sync with heaters. Returned controller. Back to manual.
Having tried and failed to get the unit to properly register on an Android Nexus 7 tablet over and over again, I tried a new method. Using an Android phone with phone-data connectivity to register the thermostat did the trick. Once I did this, the thermostat was found in the Dimplex "cloud" by all my other devices. If you are using Android, the key to getting it to work was to use an Android phone/device with phone data connectivity to register the thermostat with Dimplex. Once you do that, every device will suddenly work properly and all four zones will then show up in the app. Have no idea what the "EVB" number that it asks for is when registering the unit. Just left that field blank and there were no problems. Trying to register the thermostat with Dimplex ONLY using home wifi for registering the unit WITHIN the home router network didn't work at all.
App won't connect to the thermostat. It crashes every single time. I've tried several times and have only been able to get to the wifi selection once, only to have it say that it cannot connect after. Can't even get threw the setup!
Junk. DO NOT BUY THIS. Useless App keeps exiting before it even connects. Going to return this junk back.
Still wonder how this app is getting that outside temperature. It shows 3C while in real its -25C...
No instructions. Not able to sync.
I just installed all these heaters in my new home
This is frustrating. Instructions are junk and the app is junk. All is junk. Worst purchase ever. If I could give -1000000 I would.

Returned the controller and went back to manually adjusting temperature. The controller loses sync with the heater and there is no indication of it - Dimplex provided the excellent suggestion that I should change the heat level and then check the heater to see if it had changed. The entire point of this is to reliably automate and schedule temperature changes. Also, the app doesn't let you go below 10.5C although the controller does.
