Kickme - Baby Kicks Counter for Android
No complaints really. It does exactly what it needs to do without a bunch of extra nonsense. Only improvement I could think of would be a widget so that I don't have to open the app to record each kick, seems like about the time I close the app the baby starts kicking again only to stop if I am sitting there with the app open.
It is nice that you can log the time of the kicks, but the "Stats" section will not give you and valuable information. Not a pattern of activity nor a more active time. It will say "The more active hour is.." but it will be just the hour you logged the most measurements. It won't even perform a basic analysis. I just take the logs and analyze them myself.
Needs to have different options for input eg: time in AM or PM instead of in minutes only. Sometimes I forgot to key in earlier for a whole day so I wrote in notes but it is not displayed in home page or logs.
Overall, I love this app. It tracks statistics & helps me see the big picture so I know what "normal" is for my baby. My only complaint is that the button to record a "kick" is tiny & very close to the ad banner. I have accidentally hit the banner a few times. It almost feels like they want you to do that??? Make the button bigger & harder to make this mistake & I'll happily change to 5 stars.
Better than the last app I tried, particularly on the statistics, thank you! However, could be even better with (1) ongoing breakdown by day/week, in graphic format (like the step tracker apps), (2) option to see stats reported as an average - currently only a summation), (3) see most recent session at the top instead of having to scroll all the way down to the bottom, (4) default session end at the last kick.
If it had a widget so you didn't gave to open it and leave it running, that would be great. But that's a small thing, the app works well.
I love everything about this app, especially the log, but the session time doesn't make sense - I don't know ahead of time when the last kick will be, so sometimes I leave the app open for another few minutes or (when I forgot once) an hour, but I wish the session time would stop after the last recorded kick. Otherwise it's not an accurate representation of how long baby has been kicking.
Exactly what I'm looking for to keep track of baby activities. Simple to use. Though I wish the kicked now button could be a bigger and locates toward the center of the screen.
This is the 3rd app I've tried and it's the best! Unlike the others, it won't reset in the middle of the session if you open something else. I can open and close the app within the same session with no reset. I actually got a full 2 hour session! LOVE the stats tab! It's great to see the totals and averages done for me!
It's very basic, like all kick apps I've seen. I'd like to see average daily charts, given changes in your personal pattern are the important thing to look out for
This app cannot be easier and more user-friendly to use and start up quickly when you want to record kicks are happening right then 10 Stars if I could
It's a great app to keep track of the baby kicks. Had been very helpful throughout my pregnancy. It was useful for counting how many kicks I had in a day. In my 37th week the kick counts had comparatively reduced and I had reported to doctor immediately. Doctor checked and advised me to get admitted immediately. So this app had been extremely helpful for me and would recommend to every expecting mom.
Pretty easy to use. Would be nice to set a reminder if you haven't logged in for the day. Some people need to keep track but with busy lives & so many other apps we can forget to open this one unless baby is really active.
I really like this app but there are a couple little things that could be improved. For example it would be nice if the kicked now button was larger. As it is I have to look each time I press it and can't really relax. It would also be nice if it calculated average kicks per minute but it does calculate almost every other stat you can imagine. All in all it's great; very reassuring and I'm looking forward to maybe picking up on some patterns!
Love the app. But I'm having problem with adjust session time functionality. It only allows adding the time in minutes, which is weird for session end time because when it needs to be adjusted it is usually to make the session end time earlier than what it is (when baby has stopped kicking). Instead it only allows adding minutes instead of subtracting, which only makes the session end time ends later than what it actually is.
I love this app it helps me keep track of my little ones movements and monitor his daily activity with ease. I'm high risk for eclampsia iugr and placental abruption so really appreciate the peace of mind. I would like if there was a widget that I could put on my home screen so I wouldn't need to open the app with each movement. Even still, it's great! Thank you!
I just started this app and it is pretty nice. A widget would be nice or some shortcut for kick counting. I also started counting kicks on paper before I got the app. Therefore, I think it would be nice to be able to add kick sessions in that were not done straight from the app but could be input.
Easy to use and understand. But would be better to have a widget to home screen so I could just press a button when he kicks rather than having to close everything and reopen app everytime.
No bells and whistles, but it's free. It's a lot easier than my tally sheet on my desk at work, and helps when the baby kicks two or three times within 60 seconds. I'm high risk and need something to put me at ease.
Im finally sitting down taking the time to count his kicks my 1st boy I cant wait to meet him Im 35 wks and my doc ask all the time how much is he moving its great to be able to tell her !!!
Mama has a few medical conditions that threaten our little one, so we got this app to make sure the little bugger stays moving the way she's supposed to. It's simple, easy to use, and comes in more than 2 colors.
Very helpful but needs more things to occupy minds. Instead of just counting kicks y not count contractions or braxton hicks?
Find session end time bit annoying. And could do with a widget but otherwise good.
I downloaded this in a panic, after a long night of feeling nothing. I started to feel better after I tracked the small movements. Totally needs a widget
Counting kicks is recommended starting at 28 weeks, although its been a hobby since week 20 or so. This is great to help you figure out baby's movement pattern and make sure everything is progressing well.
The app allows you to keep track of kicks simply by pushing a button. It tracks over the course of a day, week or month. It will tell you when baby is most active and also allows you to make adjustments to the data if needed.
Captured everything I wanted, including notes, I could email information, print and add to the baby book, etc. This broke down everything so I didn't have to.
Nice to have for a first time mom, worried about the baby not moving enough. Reassuring. It's really basic, but hey its FREE!
I love this app, my only wish is to be able to manually enter amount of kicks and time occurred when I want, instead of the very simple "Kicked Earlier" this app currently provides. Otherwise I seriously love this app and the other features it has!
One less thing to stress about, counts your kicks and keeps track of them...even gives you an average count. ❤ Love it!
If only this app have widget, everything will be perfect. No more need to enter the app, just use the widget to save the kick time. Hope in future will have the widget.
Easy to use, just start measuring movement when you are ready. Stats feature is really nice to have and it'll be great to show my OB when I go in next regarding fetal movement. Thanks for the app.
Great app. Simple and user friendly. FTM and I've been using it since 20 weeks. Military time takes a little to get used to.
They say you should count 10 kicks in 2h, but truth is you need to identify your baby's own pattern & this is the best application for that, it makes it easy to spot changes.
This app is perfect for me to count daily counts and sessions at the doctor's requiring. However it would make it easier if it was a widget that I could just tap for my home screen. Other than that app works perfect for me
Great app but needs a manual log (no running timer) to record kicks when you are busy. Also kick now button could do with being larger and able to keep on home screen. But aside from that I find it a good app.
This app is easy to use and a great way to keep track. I was able to show my Ob how often and how long my preterm contractions were.
Is there a way to remove the ads? Very distracting. Otherwise perfect.
Same you can't do one for twins eg left side kick right side kick. But other than that, it does exactly what it says.

Much better than the last kick app I was using. Much more detailed and I love that you can add notes and have as many kicks you want in a session. Definitely puts my mind at ease. I don't like the ads being at the bottom below the buttons. I've accidentally hit the ads instead of the kick button. Lately it's been repeating the same ad. When I tell it I don't want to see that ad anymore it still shows it. Move the ad to a different location and make the bottom buttons bigger and it would be perfect.
