Landshuter Hochzeit (Landshut Wedding). The biggest medieval festival in Europe. Hal(o) yeah! In 2013 Landshut celebrates its 40th reenactment. The Bavarian city brings to life its history and radiating vitality. This joy culminates in a single word which everybody calls out: HALO. This word in its original meaning is the magic formula of the festival .We are playing an old game with new instruments. A puzzle of the senses: shouting , listening, seeing, feeling – and call on you to join our campaign: we are weaving a sound carpet. Each and every one, participant or visitor, is welcome to join in – with a simple shout of joy: “HALO!” You record it with the HALO-LAHO App on your smartphone and send it off.

Do join in. Your recording is transformed into a unique HALO-gram. One pattern follows the other. Together we create the sound tapestry. With enough patterns the tapestry materializes. The sound of the wedding is captured forever in a real textile tapestry woven by an automatic weaving loom. Every Sunday of the festival a new tapestry is created. In the fall of 2013 the carpets will be put up for auction for a charitable cause. Join in. For free but not for nothing!
