NATO Phonetic Alphabet Translator allows you to translate sentences into their NATO alphabet equivalent. Use the NATO Phonetic Alphabet to spell out important information as in your full name, postal code, street name, phone number, etc. For example, in English the letter 'A' translates into the word 'Alpha' in the NATO Alphabet Phonetic Language. The letter 'B' would be translated into the word 'Bravo' and so on.
This application allows you to keep a list of your Favorite words or sentences that you would have previously translated. It will also speak the translated sentence for you in any of the following languages: English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

Please follow these steps to enable/install text-to-speech on your phone device if it is not already enabled/installed:
★ To check whether your phone has text-to-speech capabilities go to Menu -> Settings -> Voice Input & Output -> Text-To-Speech settings.
★ On phone models running Android 1.6 go to Menu -> Settings -> Speech Synthesis.
★ If the Pico TTS engine is not installed, please install it by clicking "Install Voice Data".
★ To select the default speech engine, speech rate, or to specify your default settings, go to Text-To-Speech settings as described previously.

Sierra, not Siera X-ray, not Xray. "Speak" should be a button next to text, not a menu item. Language choice has to be made on a separate tab for some reason, instead of on the same page as translation. A dropdown control for language not as convenient as a spinner control or similar might be, takes two taps to select language instead of one . Still, neater than most other similar apps. "Speak while translating" option doesn't work correctly with swype. Does not contain a manual reference table.

The devs are OUTRIGHT LYING when they say this translates & speaks your input in "words & sentences" in any of the listed lingos! LIE! All it does is SPELL YOUR INPUT, ONE LETTER AFTER ANOTHER, TRANSLATING EACH LETTER INTO THE LINGO EQUIVALENT OF YOUR CHOICE, until your ENGLISH WORD or ENTIRE ENGLISH SENTENCE HAS BEEN ONLY SPELLED IN YOUR CHOSEN OUTPUT LINGO's ALPHABET!
