Useless. Can't access it
I read what everybody else said and it is absolutely true. You cannot log on. This app is absolutely useless.
TEXAS FIOS Customer..... until they shut it DOWN & MOVE IT! with out warning. everything gone. moved to FRONTIER..... nobody is happy. I can't pay my bill. I can't watch my on demand. I can't get linkage access to mobile. nor can I get into their supposedly new operations account through Frontier online systems. I don't have a contract with Frontier and if we can, we're going to try everything we can to get out of this. NOT what we signed up for. Big Corporate should not have forced this on to its customers. At least transition it at the end of peoples contracts and let us make the choice. NOT just say you are moved over with no say so & give them no access to online Fios anymore. WELL in my book this Null & Voids Contracts..... I'm sure others agree with me. NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER. a customer who has been a loyal Verizon customer over 17 yrs. what does that say VERIZON....????
Just switched over to Android from apple and had went through the backup sync on my iphone and everything was fine. For some reason the backup app on the Android won't allow me to even log in to retrieve my contacts so what's the use?
I reset my UN and my PW. Still wouldn't work. Bad app. Get google cloud instead. Much better.

This is Not a VZ Wireless app so a VZ Wireless user name and password will not work. You need to be a fios internet customer to use this app. The Vz wireless backup is a different app called (VZ cloud). This app is for wired FiOS customers

Guys after reading the reviews I'm surprised none of you asked. This app is no longer used by Verizon and has been REPLACED by the Verizon cloud. The ONLY reason it's still on the store is because there are phones out there where this is the only compatible app for their phone. As a Verizon rep I am informing you right now, this app is no longer in use and if you can run the cloud you are required to use that.
As all other reviews are saying, the app won't let me log in. It says my username and password are invalid. I logged in to the website just fine 10 minutes before trying the app. Epic FAIL!
App hasn't been updated since 2013 & it shows in it's uselessness. Very disappointing. Should just be removed. However, I have noticed that a lot of people seem to be confusing this with Verizon wireless backup, which it is NOT. It IS supposed to be backup and access to your Verizon FIOS/cable home account, not your mobile.
From all the reviews I have been reading going back for months and the app still doesn't work. It says incorrect username or password. I'll just stick with Dropbox and Sugarsync. They work and I get more space that is free. Sorry guys. Cool phone, fast network, crappy app.
Like everyone says, this app is useless. You can't log in and there's no trouble shooting or options for help. You might as well download Candy Crush, it'll offer you the same amount of help backing up and restoring contacts.
I know my username and password are correct but it keeps telling me invalid even though I verified the correct username and password on the Verizon site. I pay way too much a month to not be able to retrieve contacts after a factory reset of a glitchy phone. Seriously considering switching.
Username/password invalid as everyone elses does not work! Please fix the issue or stop advertising feature to new customers! I was excited to try whn the installation man told me n can't even get on to try
User name and password still not working. I know mine and can log onto my Verizon app, but not on this app. Ridiculous that everyone says the same thing yet nothing has been fixed
I just upgraded to a new phone and tried to log in and upload my saved/backed up contacts but this app isn't letting me. At first I though I must be using the wrong username and password or typing it wrong but I double checked and it's not me. Through research it seems it's not just me, lot's of people are having this issue. No way to get past it from what I can tell. Even deleted and re-installed it and that didn't work either.

The app wants me to log in with a username and password. I use the one I have for Verizon, but it won't let me log in, even. There's no option to figure it out, either, like "I Forgot My Username/Password"... So it's pointless.
Won't take my verizon username & password that I just registered. Crap! In the meantime I can't transfer any of my contacts to my new phone and your tech support on the phone think I'm an idiot. Thanks Verizon for superior service.
Come on Verizon. You can do better than this. No one will remember username and password every time they switch phones. Help us out here??!!
Can't login, ergo can't backup. Another Verizon app that simply takes up space.
Just switched from iPhone to android. App works perfectly fine on the iPhone but doesn't work here?! Obviously they figured it out once they should be able to again.
Come on Verizon... This should not be that difficult. Why can't our credentials be recognized? And why is no one responding to the issue?
Cannot Sign In. I've reset my password AND username multiple times and still getting the same message that it's incorrect. This is ridiculous, it's the only way I can get my hundreds of contacts back since the Cloud doesn't have them and I can't sign in on the app. Seriously a huge waste of my time and patience!! If you could rate less then a star, trust me I would have.
Won't let me log in with my UN and PW!? Why bother offering if you cannot use? All the posts are saying the SAME thing! A waste of good time!
Unwittingly utilized this app to backup all of my contacts, ( apparently this becomes the default backup and as I created each contact this app became the backup ignoring my Google account) and when switching to another phone i am now unable to logon citing an invalid username/password??? Now I am forced to manually transcribe each contact from my old broken phone to my new one, luckily I can at least access one half a broken screen on my old phone to see them.
Can't log on either, but logging into Google cloud got all of my contacts back. This app has been made obsolete by g-cloud and will never be fixed.
Tells me over and over that username and password are invalid! Just got off the phone with customer service and they said it would work but does NOT still
If you have a sea of people telling you that your software isn't working, you should probably listen. But we all know that's not the Verizon way...
Keeps saying my user name and password are wrong...it is September 2015! This has been an issue for a while. FIX IT!
I have lost ALL my contacts I had backed up using backup assistant on other phone. Now this app won't let me log in with my username and password. WTF Verizon?
It sounded like a good app but it won't even let me in says username and password is wrong so you can't get in to even see anything needs to be fixed asap

Won't allow u to login. And I verify by logging into myVerizon using my username/pwd pair. Nope. The app does not work. I think they want everyone to use the cloud app instead.
This app isnt working for anyone. It managed to work when I switched from iPhone and the first time I needed it to move everything to my new android back in September. Since, it has only said invalid username and password. I know this is not user error because I have the password written down from when it was working and also have it saved in the app with "remember me". This is a major issue Verizon. You are keeping your client's personal info and allowing them no access and not doing anything to fix it.

Get the "internet connection not found" error whether I'm on wifi, cell data, etc. I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice now. When I used "my Verizon" search for "restore contacts", it SAID TO USE THE BACKUP ASSISTANT APP, so if this app is not in use anymore, it would be great if they told us how to do it properly. I don't see any "Verizon cloud" app, nor is there an option in any of the My Verizon app menus that will let me transfer my contacts from a Windows phone to an Android. They don't run the same apps.
