Lucid Dream Ultimate for Android
Works great. The people that complain about the binural beats being low, they are low frequency and if you actually read the description it says it requires headphones to be effective. Please read and understand before you complain and turn others off to this app. Works great if you don't assume you know everything and read!
Needs default settings, so I can just tap *once* to start night mode. But this app hasn't been updated in 2.5 years so I'm looking for an app that has comparable night mode (trying Awoken now).
This app has so much promise, but just does not work on my phone . The day notifications are intermittent and it does not work at night at all. Something to do with the screen lock or when the screen goes off
This app is perfect as far as reality checks and dream journaling. The night mode sounds tend to crackle and pop randomly which can startle you.
This is the only app I've found that has a decent WILD feature. Thank you.
I paid the $1.49 and really like the simplicity of the app (though the options are a bit more complicated than people might think). However, it does not work for me and I am not sure if I'm "doing it right." I'm not saying it doesn't work in the sense that it hasn't magically given me the ability to Lucid Dream. I don't expect that. I liked the idea of being reminded to do Reality Checks, so I set those up, and they don't happen. It only happens after I check off the Active checkbox and then I exit the app. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I will test out the night alarms to see if those work, but having to sit there and wait for 4 hours to "test" to see if it works is kind of annoying. Anyway, I like the app. Just have yet to see/hear it work after I set it up. Maybe I need some help. Maybe this app does...
Really awesome app. It's got a great amount of features and does exactly what I need it to. Could you add the emotion field to the journal page so we can track and even maybe eventually search by the emotions we have during the night? Also, can you make it so we can edit our dreams after saving? Tons of type o's in the night time.
I figured out how to get everything running and it works, however it seems the program must be open to work, and not just running (in the background). Ill keep experimenting to see if i can fix this... Maybe its just my phone? Otherwise I like the app a lot. Its very simple and straightforward while having a lot of functionality and customization available.
Would like to see more options for binaural, and would love to see an alpha option too. Other than that the best so far.
It is just perfect! It would be really nice if you added flash dreamer function-then this app would be like best of the best ever in universe :)
Thank you!
Crap
Cool application. I love the diary. Often i wake up in the middle of the night and take a quick note about my dreams. Also during the day It's far more comfortable to record your dreams than to carry your real dream diary. Anyway, it would be cool if you could choose from many sound notifications and also customize the text notification.
I'm fairly new to the world of lucid dreaming but this app has greatly increased my feelings of lucidity in my dreams. I used the "motion detection" method and in my dreams I became lucid. It was my first time experiencing lucidity as an adult but it was absolutely amazing. This was just the first time experiencing lucidity and I hope to continue my journey and increase awareness in my dreams (the journal section of this app makes it great for documenting your dreams directly when you wake up, and aids in dream recall). If you are doubting this application don't, it is legitimate and will aid you in achieving lucidity in your dreams. You will still have to work at achieving deeper more realistic levels of lucidity but this can definitely put you on the right track with giving you more opportunities to practice lucidity.
I find that this does just about all that you would want from an app to help you get lucid. The developer is not lazy. He responds quickly to bugs/complaints and works hard to update. Highly recommend this!
Highly recommended to anyone who is committed to achieving lucidity. Very helpful tools and excellent app support!
First night I had many vivid dreams although none were lucid so I cannot credit them to this app. I took off one star for the lack of the ability to edit saved dream journals. Often bits and pieces flash back out of no where and currently theres no way to add them in. Would also be nice to edit journal titles as I forgot to even make one for my first two entries. Definitely 5 stars if editing is added.
Overall the easiest, most feature rich LD app on the play store. The dev updates regularly, which is also nice. At its current price its a ubargain.
And the fantastic developer listened to my suggestions and made changes! What more could you possibly want? :)
For example: I set my password to "12345" If I open the dream journal, and type in the password "asdfslkj" It says "Password incorrect, 12345 is the correct password" What is the point of having password protection if it just tells you the correct password if you enter a wrong one?! lol. Anyone can look at your dream journal by just typing in a wrong password so that it will tell them the right one... Also it doesn't really teach you how to use the "Smart REM" or "Motion Tracking" features. There's a lot of confusing options in the setup and a lot of them seem to be duplicate settings in there. They need to make it more user friendly and add a little guide or tutorial on how to best set up the night alarms with motion tracking.
This app actually helps you trigger self awareness traps in your dreams (Most efficient way to continually lucid dream)! Here's a good trick to help you stay in your lucidity...Look at the palm of your hands when you feel like it's slipping away! Ok you can wake up now!
Used this app for the first time last night and became vaguely lucid after performing a reality check inside a dream while using the 'WILD' method. Hopefully this will lead to more lucid dreams with higher levels of lucidity. Very effective and simple to use.
Serioulsy one of my worst purchases, the entire app just feels so poorly planned.
This is so cool! Finally a app that does what its supposed to!
Very relaxing and I hope it works
Clicks every minute or so and ruins the entire effect... don't buy until this gets fixed, useless.
I love the app's intention, and the Day function works fine. The only problem is the Night function not working properly. I tried using it last night but it never went off and I even did a daytime test of the Night function but nothing happened. I'm using a Galaxy S II and I don't know if that has anything to do with the functionality.
I really don't understand where the negative comments are coming from. This app has really helped me out. It has so many features that I use. The dream journal is top notch and the reality check reminders have helped me reality check during my dreams. The night sounds work fine for me so I'm not sure why people are having problems. If you're hesitant to buy it, don't be. Lucid dream has so much to offer and it's definitely worth getting.
Sounds are intermittent which would be fine if I was sure they were supposed to be or not but this app offers very little in the way of information. The night time one has to be reset daily.
Still buggy and not the most intuitive. It's almost there just some minor tweaks needed. Need to fix the binaural beats as that was my main reason for the app and there is a weird skip that won't allow it to do what it's supposed.... two months later and still no fix. I paid for this app and developer has done nothing in months
I've been using this app primarily for its reality-check reminders. Good work so far. Perhaps, just to add to the skepticism of "are you dreaming" and making the user question his/her surroundings a bit more, you could add a Yes and a No button to the notification on swipe down (jellybean style)? Thanks anyway :)
This app got me out of my body. It created a vacuum effect that was like a worm hole that my awareness followed out of my body. Pretty neat. but it was short lived because there is a routine choppy cut sound where the tracks seam is and it causes my awareness to jolt back into normal consciousness. Maybe its placed there to make us aware that we are dreaming, but I doubt it. Totally ruins a good trip for me. Please smooth out this sound glitch. Thx

The click and pop sound every minute or so is extremely annoying and jarring when falling asleep. Is this a loop of sound repeating? Not good enough for a paid app.
This app continuously reminds you to check to see if you a dreaming. It's good because it's hard to remember to check. BTW I think you meant hold your nose and try to breathe not hold your breath and try to breathe.
I don't understand this app. It gives you reality checks during the day but at night it doesn't do anything, even after configuring it to do so. Safe to say this is pretty useless. I've been using it on a nexus 7.
The sound is too soft, when I use it without headphones. =/
The sound waves are so low you probably have to put head phones on while sleeping Couldn't hear anything when started, plus a better guide would have been better, step by step while you program the sleep, The sound is really too low, other binaural apps have much better volume level this app plain sucks for paid too it does not work without a guide and a proper loudness so we can determine our own sound levels.
