The best app so far. Far better then the merriem webster, the app size is just 10 mb while that has 300 mb. Superb layout, zero ads. Awestruck!

Unfortunately, I used to like this app. That is until the recently charged political climate. This app now defines "Fascism" as a "right-wing" ideology. This is wrong and another uneducated opinion by hysterical liberals. "Fascism" is in fact historically a political movement practiced by socialist liberals such as the Nazi party who were also called the "National Socialist Workers Party" and were not right-wing in any sense. So, until the creators of this app decide to drop the liberal agenda, I suggest not using this app.

It's an Excellent Dictionary really the best.It's word of the day feature is Really Superb and great and now i am more happy as it is working offline also by enabling it in settings

Love this app, learning new information reading the slideshows and blogs as well as the definitions and examples. No problems except Points question once in a while doesn't link/connect. Wish the premium app I paid for included the mPlus points since I don't need 2 versions of the app

i like this app enuff to use and even suggest to other ppl... but you guys really disappoint me when u can remember my favorites... what's more irritating is that u allow me to log in via browser but not via my phone... and with facebook at that... so I have to maintain two separate favorite lists and one of them disappears if I lose my phone or delete the app... these are not privileged but obvious features u seem aware of yet uninterested in allowing... Thanx for not caring enuff to be bothered

It's so slow. The search function needs to be improved. So much lag time when pushing search.

This app is amazing. I love it out loud, and without reservation. I must possess the premium version, and soon I shall. A+ all the way to the development team.

Giving this one two stars because the ads on the app are annoying, distracting, and are often advertising inappropriate webcam sites that I don't want to see.

I used to love this app, but for the last few months, I feel like whoever is choosing the 'word of the day' is playing politics. I don't need my dictionary to be a political pundit.

Great app, when I got my S3. I don't even have new word show everyday. When I got my new Note 4. I got new word pop up on my screen every day.

Quick Look Up !! It's nice to have a dictionary reference at your finger tips. Understanding the meaning of words plus the correct spelling is important especially if you spend a lot of time reading. The Thesaurus is another convenient resource. I've tried other dictionary Apps but this is the one I recommend.

Hate that mPOINTS are held hostage! Are mPoints even an incentive anymore?

Definition are hard to read, does not show a list of most likely words that you may be trying to spell.

I've used this app for a couple of years and have been happy with it. I like that it gives pronunciation, definition, meaning, synonyms, thesaurus with many other words to choose from (handy when writing a piece or a poem), and gives sentence examples. I don't mind the ads because it is free (thank you!). 4 out of 5 stars because if I want more sentence examples I have to upgrade.

I'm still unhappy with the way it shares on Facebook. Please fix it! I enjoy receiving the Word of the Day, and I would like to share it on Facebook, but when I do it displays the same word for four or five days.. or more... before it updates to the current Word of the Day. This is a missed opportunity for you. Let me know when you have it corrected. It's very frustrating, and my Facebook friends have asked me why I don't post every day, or why I post the same word every day. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6.

It's a very good app and an educative one. It's a must for school children as it helps them increase their knowledge of words. It's a treat for book lovers who very often encounter with tough words. I can go on saying about the app because it consumes all my data as it's the only app I use,almost everyday . I have stopped using the social networking sites as I have got addicted to it. Indeed it has made me a logophile.

New words everyday. Learn how to pronounce the words correctly. Common grammatical errors highlighted! Thank you. Could you kindly do something about the confusing links? E.g. Link to "Tubular words from the 80s" is inactive, while the link to "Names for your worst enemy" leads to "Tubular words from the 80s"! Would give it 5* anytime.

Dictionary and thesaurus work fine but I chose this app over all the others for the word of the day widget. However I can not get the widget to update to the current word of the day. Also would it be possible to have a refresh on the articles looking at the same ones all day every day gets a bit boring. Thank you

Half the words you'd need to look up, this app doesn't recognize. The other half it does are inaccurately defined or explained poorly. The only redeeming factor is the word of the day widget and the overall app design.

Great easy to use (intuitive ui) and no annoying half-page advertisements. Ive had this for two years now and it definitely my 'go to' app for any/all English affirmations! I'd give it ten stars if possible. This is one app that i can't live without....and I'm a native English speaker so I imagine it would be absolutely vital if English isn't your first language. Great, simple and uber-informative!

Reason for the 3 stars? In this dictionary the terminologies used in sentences most times, appears to be somewhat Shakespearean and not practical top the current day form of use for the word. I'm sure every word which has meaning in this dictionary, can be utilized or interpreted in such a way that it can be used in a current day sentence for a clearer and more concise use of the word. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoy using this tool as well as the other features like the "word of the day", thesaurus & Rhyming. I also agree with @Di L on 2/5/17! BTW my last comment was the same 3 years ago to the current month, so not much has been taken into consideration for updating the context....

Once i figured out how to turn off unsolicited word of the day, etc. This app went from 4 to 5 stars. Have had this app for year's now. Use this several times daily & its very handy.

This app helped me to find the words to describe how elated and overjoyed I felt when Hillary lost the Presidential election. And how proud I am of my country for voting her into Oblivion.

Would love to give this app 5 stars but still the favourite function is not user friendly. You cannot backup your favourites nor export them & it is not easy to navigate them (e.g., if you have 200 of them & scroll down to a word that starts with y & go back it doesn't pick up where you left off but scrolls up to the top). *** This app description states: ”Manage your favorite words effortlessly and access your most recently searched terms.” This is untrue & misleading.

I am facing a problem. The offline word definition when I am reading books in pdf reader don't always show the define option. But I checked that word is in the word list in the dictionary, for some other words it's working perfectly. What is happening?

How about we DON'T change the definition of "fascist" to fit the liberal losers agenda. And if so then what do you call extreme left wing maniacs who attack people because they have a different opinion. (Cause I'm pretty sure that's what a fascist does)

To turn off word of day (the most annoying feature ever) go in to settings then application manager then select the dictionary app and un check the little box for notifications.that easy. Took a bit too figure what they meant. Stupid huh? Still handy in spite of all that

So far I cannot complain, it actually does what I need it to do define words. Now in the future if I need it to do more and it's unsuccessful I'll let you know.

Overall not bad but still lacking in some areas. Despite having several paid modules, thesaurus results are incomplete compared to the same queries on the website.

Its just wow.....never seen this much smooth user interface dictionary will almost all the words, and the good thing of it is "it works offline too"...by just downloading 180 mb of more data...no bugs observed soo far...i will never leave this app

I luv this app. A quick source for definitions you're not sure of & a great spell checker as well.....its awesome. Keep updating & improving. Thanks for all your hard work.

This app is based on Americanised English so bear in mind that the pronunciations have a North American accent. I really like the thesaurus feature.

I'm a student and my vocab is real bad. This app helps me alot! I like the a word a day too

Everything is very good. The only problem is that it takes some time in searching(sometimes even more than 5 seconds).So please improve this.
