I took a ton of time creating a deck and it vanished! WTF? Why can't these decks reside on my device instead of "nowhere". Fix this problem and maybe I'll revise my rating. TERRIBLE! And no "customer service" - I emailed for help with this issue and nobody ever contacted me and I have an account!

It would be better if users had an option to add and edit their own term or definition. It could also be more better if definitions are generated with example sentences. And if such feature is upgraded, a "blank field" should be encoded to enable users insert their own example sentences for their inputted terms. Most importantly, it would be more simple and free from confusion if the part of speech of a term was ENCIRCLED with parentheses. For example, "revive (v.)."

Don't waste your time on this. Imaging when you wake up tomorrow morning to find out all your photos on Facebook or Google photo are gone. That's what happened with this app, twice. My kid saved up to 800 words in last 6 months, and now have a blank page left. Total disappointment​

It does nothing after I enter my login. I have an account which i got on the web page (because the sign up wouldn't work either) I put my email and password in, press login. It says 'Please Wait' for a second then nothing happens. I cannot make anything without logging in. Please fix this.

Would give it 5 stars but everytime I try to go to some of the different subjects it says "server problems try again later".. I hope that gets fixed .. Plus it would be great if they had Spanish flashcards also.. But I can see this being a good tool in helping my kids with schoolwork ...

The only problem I have with it is I had several books with hundreds of words set up, got a new phone and can't remember my password! All gone now because there is no way to retrieve it. Why do I need a freakin password anyway? !

I use this app and word dynamo to study for chemistry, calculus, java, and german. The problem is, this app doesn't let you enter in your own custom definitions, so I have to log into word dynamo to enter my definitions. Word dynamo integration has always been somewhat buggy; a few missing words here and there. But recently, it stopped updating the lists on my account. This has rendered the app basically useless to me and quite a few people I know. Ask needs to fix this to make this app useful again.

There should be an option to add mathematics flash cards as well. It's upsetting that words that I am using to increase my high schooler's vocabulary, are not even found. Some definitions ate too vague for my liking. Shenanigans can not be found. Technically, I can understand why, but I would still like to have those options available.

This app is amazing. Now I can create flashcards for my children or have them do its themselves with ease. No more index cards to buy to get lost or damaged only to have to remake them. Which can be very expensive.

Seriously? Too many bugs, slow, force when login using fb, flash learn always skip the even card, quiz is empty so I can get anything. Maybe many more, but I don't have time to explore more only to get frustrate

I am really enjoying the app. Especially the already available terms. However, I am disappointed that you can't customize your flashcards like making your own words and definitions and breaking decks into subcategories. Please make the app more customizable. Thank you for your time.

It doesn't seem to have some words but most of them you shouldn't have a problem finding! Makes flashcards without having to write anything down which saves tons of times makes up a quiz for your decks awsome!

Super helpful! U can view others cards like SAT words or commonly misspelled words or u can make ur own! Its a great app ! I just made a deck with 25 terms in like 3 minutes (:

Error when saving. I like how it has the definition of words. I'm studying for the GRE so I would have to type in 300+ word definitions if it didn't. But I can't even save it.

You can't add words it doesn't have, and you can't use your own definition from what I can tell. This makes it useless for class study of specific definitions. That was my primary goal in the use of this app. If I can't use it to study, what good is it?

I'd have liked to do more with my customized deck it keeps taking me to quiz. It gives me a message word does not exist for many common words

A "dictionary" app that cannot find basic 4th grade level words? Near win becomes extreme fail. Generous 3 based on design & concept.

Math, science, art and history are the categorys they have. No foreign language learning cards and how do you even make flashcards? Its good if you want to study the above subjects and the app is organized by grade level with no ads.

This is an awesome app. It helped me a lot with bunches of SAT vocabularu, despite no too various words. I enthusiastically recommend this amazing falshcard app.

Wish I could add my own definitions. Industry jargon isn't found in the dictionary (yet?), but that's what I want to use these flashcards to learn.

If you love word this is the app for you! I have definitely step up my vocabulary word game studying & quizzing w/ Dictionary. Com! I have challenged everyone in my house, who can read with this app. KKK!

Does not shuffle words for decks created to quiz yourself. GRE stack options don't work. Would be great to have functions of word dynamo

Love this app! Tons of value here but I just lost like 6 different word decks. To frustrating.

It's annoying how its not until u click 'Save' that u learn u have duplicates. Then you have 2 go search your deck to try 2 figure out the culprits.

Too heavy for a flashcard app. No portrait landscape options. No favourite deck options. No private deck option. StudyMaster by j&m is much better.

I love all kinds of flash cards... And I like preparing unique decks. I think this app probably deserves a 3, but I'm very new at this. So far I have not found a way to make up my own decks. The answers to choose from are VERY long and I barely have time to read through them before I have to make a choice.

It sucks that you can't make your owns cards without having it to be an ACTUAL word. I was going to use this for my Emergency Medical Responder Acronyms but it only had to be words in the dictionary so that really sucked. Other than that it does help for like History or SAT words.

Facebook login does not work. App gets authorised but then say "Username and password do not match". Second time around, Facebook says App is already authorised. After giving up on login-in with Facebook, I tried the register option which worked but every time i try to go to 'My Deck' it crashes. 'Unfortunately Flashcards has stopped.' I am using a Samsung s5 latest model.

Great idea but just once for what I got quiz for once time only. Then found out if I trying other or the same quiz. It wanted me to pay for everything. That's B.S.!!! Dislike in some way of your stupid app!!

I have observed that when I take the quiz for my deck, the order in which I learned them does not change. As I keep taking these quizzes, I have further observed that I recall the first set and last set of words extraordinary better than the middle set. This phenomenon is termed, 'the serial position effect' in psychology. I would suggest a shuffling algorithm for taking a quiz, to engage the brain areas responsible for memory construction and recollection. Doing so, will promote better retention of words.

Was stumbling in school, this made her grades, and life peek. GREAT!!! GREAT!! APP. Download it, show your children you wanna help.

Great for learning as definitions are succinct and timed quizzes test knowledge over cheating skills. Excellent design with reference to old school note-cards that never go out of style. The slider to progress through a pack of cards seems awkward at first unless it is a built in safety for the app's integrity - which in that case it just takes some time to get used to. Each deck is just the right amount for learning a group of definitions.

There should be more options for offline study and better topics for general vocabulary building without having to register online. But the main problem is that the app is not optimized for tablets only!

Cool app. I hate the paper cards now! I enjoy the organization as well.

Very poor. Unlike it says flashcards can be downloaded/copied for offline use, it does work sometime but not always. Only 1 deck was copied after trying to save 6 of em.

This app is great other than the fact that there is no way to randomize while studying or quizzing. I consider this to be a big downfall and I would imagine that randomization could easily be added.
